Thus, this survey describes college and university teachers and students\u0026amp;#39; perceptions and concerns with regard to taking online classes that have been made mandatory in the wake of COVID19. The sample consisted of 70 teachers and 407 students from colleges and universities in Bangalore city. Online survey method was used for the purpose of data collection. The findings show that the following areas are important for teacher and student satisfaction with online classes, these areas are: quality and timely interaction between student and professor, technical support availability, structured online class modules, and modifications to accommodate conduction of practical Online platform has been a recent modification taken by the education system in India due the corona virus situation. Thus, this survey describes the opinion of school, college and university students with regard to online learning classes that have been made compulsory in the wake of corona virus situation. A structural questionnaire (Google form) link was sent to, colleges and university students WhatsApp, Facebook, and E-mail. The samples of 65 students are considered in this survey. This online survey method was used for data collection. The learners were used smart phone mostly for attending online lectures. Students also face many problems such as unfavorable environment for study. In this background, study aim was to find out the perception of students towards online-class during COVID-19 pandemic. The study was based on descriptive research design. The study was carried out by using the structured questionnaire survey, and self-administered online Google firm was developed to collect the data. The data were collected from 109 students of two colleges; one public and one private college. The reliability test of collected data was checked by calculating the Cronbach's Alpha value. Frequency, percentage, and mean was used to analyze the data. Finding of the study revealed that 81.7% students adopted online class first time in their learning career. However, majority of respondents felt confident to use online-class function and adopt content. Similarly, 58.1% respondents reported that they faced the technical problem during Online-class, more than 59% respondents believed that online class was one of the easiest platforms to share the knowledge and collect the required information. Most of the respondents intended to use online-class platform to enhance their learning and communication skill. One of the main benefits of online class was that it has saved the students from risk of transmission of COVID-19 and contributed to the regularity of teaching and learning of college. The central and the state governments have come forward with a cluster of e-learning initiatives during this juncture. The researchers through online survey, and interviews collected the data. The students' engagement was characterized by reading of digital study materials, asking questions for doubt clearing, reading of PPTs, noting down important points in the class and preparing class notes. The teachers' engagement was characterized by preparation of class note and PPTs, asking questions to students for making the class interactive, sharing of reading materials, delivery of lecture on the content, clarifying students' doubts and collection of assignment and feedback from students; and reflections for improving teaching. Both students and teachers preferred online classes and viewed that it is preferred for self-motivated students. Regarding its benefits, both teachers and student viewed that online teaching saves time in course coverage, improves their self-learning habits and exposed to wide variety of digital materials and collaborative technologies and have increased presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Students are confronted with serious problems like, poor network connectivity, high rate of data consumption and physical discomforts.
