This lifestyle is reminiscent of the patriarchs like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who also lived in tents (<a href="/hebrews/11-9.htm">Hebrews 11:9</a>). The tent-dwelling symbolizes a transient life on earth, pointing to a greater eternal home (<a href="/hebrews/11-13.htm">Hebrews 11:13-16</a>).
