The Council facilitates the development, promotion and review of Singapore Standards.</p> <p>Toppan Next Pte Ltd (referred to as “Toppan”, “our”, “us” or “we” in this Privacy Policy) is Enterprise Singapore appointed local distributor of Singapore Standards and Overseas Standards. Toppan manages the eshop and the data that is collected. The terms set out herein highlight the manner in which the data shared by you, as customers of the eshop (referred to as “Customers” or “you” in this Privacy Policy) may be used.</p> <p><strong>What This Privacy Policy Covers</strong><br /> This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect when you use our services. This Privacy Policy also covers our treatment of any personally identifiable information that Customers share with us.</p> <strong>Accountability</strong><br /> <p>No registration or identification is required when you visit the eshop. You will however need to register yourself as a Member if you would like to make purchases. All personal information that you provide during the registration process and the purchases you make are information that is stored in your member account. This information is used to:</p> <p>(i) fulfil your orders, provide you with the necessary customer service and aid our ongoing efforts to improve services, which includes conducting surveys, to meet your needs</p> <p>(ii) share the data collected with Enterprise Singapore or other government agencies, or organisations appointed by government agencies for them to conduct surveys relating to the standards purchased.</p> <p> We will not disclose, share, transfer, sell or rent personally identifiable information to any other third party other than the parties mentioned above. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails beyond the marketing of standards to our Customers.</p> <p>Customers may opt out of receiving these marketing emails by requesting to “unsubscribe” in the subject line in the email.</p> <p> <strong>Specifying Purposes and Consent</strong> </p> <p>We are the sole manager of this site and the personally identifiable information that is collected will be used only for the purposes specified under Accountability section above. The data collected will be retained by us for as long as you maintain your account with us. We have developed guidelines and implemented procedures to govern the destruction of personal data that is no longer required to fulfil the identified purposes. </p> <p>We do not display or make publicly available, whether through online directories, customer lists or otherwise, the personally identifiable information collected.</p> <strong>Safeguards</strong><br /> <p>Our Customers can be assured that appropriate security safeguards are in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, copying, use, alteration, accidental loss or theft, destruction or damage.</p> <p>Only authorised personnel have access to our systems.</p> <strong>Openness</strong><br /> <p>Our data protection policy (Privacy Policy) is displayed on the website and the policy is set out in the same language medium as the website. We encourage all our Customers to read our Privacy Policy to understand our objective of collecting their personal data. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will provide a notification when an update occurs. Unless you have requested to remove your personal data from our membership database, your continued use of the eshop after any changes are made to the Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy then in effect.</p> <strong>Individual Access and Correction</strong><br /> <p>We allow our Customers the right to access their personal information. Customers can access their personal information by using their respective username and password to gain access to their personal information.</p> <p>If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update or remove your personal data at the member information page or by emailing our customer service (singaporestandardseshop@toppanleefung.com). You may also write to our customer service if you would like to remove your personal data from our membership database if you do not wish to continue as our registered Customer.</p> <p>We will respond to our Customer’s request to provide the information or data related to Customer’s personal data within a reasonable time.</p> <strong>Challenging Compliance</strong><br /> <p>We have mechanisms and processes in place to receive and address complaints or inquiries about our policies and procedures relating to the handling of personal data. We will take appropriate measures to address any issues if a complaint is found to be justified.</p> <strong>Links</strong><br /> <p>This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.
