Il nous a permis de revenir sur les questionnements qui ont été les nôtres pendant les mois qu&#39;a duré l&#39;élaboration de la version publiée du texte de Serge Amisi. Entre un transcripteur qui envisageait son travail comme un projet d&#39;artiste, et un écrivain au fait à la fois des questions et enjeux de la littérature africaine contemporaine, et du contexte éditorial. * Jean-Christophe Lanquetin-J&#39;ai rencontré Serge Amisi à Kinshasa en juillet 2004 où je travaillais en tant que scénographe pour une création théâtrale. Il sculptait la « ferraille » dans le cadre d&#39;un programme de réinsertion d&#39;anciens enfants-soldats démobilisés organisé par l&#39;Espace Masolo. Nous lui avions demandé de souder une kalachnikov à partir de morceaux de métal récupéré, pour les besoins du spectacle. C&#39;est en voyant qu&#39;il en connaissait par coeur les proportions que j&#39;ai découvert qu&#39;il était un ancien enfant-soldat. Amisi parlait beaucoup de son histoire et nos discussions sur son passé ont été l&#39;un des déclencheurs de l&#39;écriture des récits. Un an après, il avait écrit une première série de cahiers, en lingala, comme d&#39;un trait. La question de les traduire s&#39;est alors posée, mais immédiatement il a paru essentiel que cette traduction respecte le texte originel. Nous avons cherché un traducteur congolais, qui s&#39;est avéré difficile à trouver parce que peu de gens étaient capables de mener un tel travail et surtout parce le texte remémorait aux personnes sollicitées un passé très douloureux et très récent. La solution qui s&#39;est alors imposée a été que ce soit Amisi qui traduise ses récits et que j&#39;en assure une transcription. Ce travail, commencé durant l&#39;été 2006, s&#39;est échelonné sur trois années, durant mes séjours à Kinshasa. Il a eu lieu, discrètement, là où je vivais, car Amisi prenait un risque en écrivant cette histoire et il avait été menacé. Je travaillais sur d&#39;autres projets avec de jeunes artistes visuels. Eux savaient ce que nous faisions et ils nous ont « protégés », une sorte de cordon amical et solidaire, car ils comprenaient l&#39;importance et la nécessité de raconter cette histoire. La communication que ma collègue a la gentillesse de lire à ma place se fixe comme objectif d&#39;interroger la contribution de la recherche en sciences cognitives à la théorie littéraire. Plus précisément, il s&#39;agira notamment de montrer que la théorisation du rapport entre l&#39;oeuvre et la biographie d&#39;un écrivain peut faire l&#39;objet d&#39;un renouvellement à travers le prisme des travaux récents sur la phénoménologie de l&#39;identité. Ainsi, en m&#39;appuyant sur le cadre théorique des études littéraires cognitives, j&#39;explorerai la façon dont les travaux en neurosciences peuvent être mis au profit de la théorie littéraire, nous permettant de repenser la relation entre vie et création romanesque en l&#39;interrogeant sous un angle différent de ceux, déjà classiques, de l&#39;autobiographie ou de l&#39;autofiction. Ma communication est répartie en trois volets. Le premier consiste en un bref éclairage du domaine interdisciplinaire des études littéraires cognitives, qui constitue, comme je viens de le mentionner, le cadre conceptuel de ma réflexion. Le deuxième fait le point sur les notions qui dominent la pensée sur le rapport entre oeuvre et biographie, proposant, à la lumière des travaux d&#39;Anna Abraham sur l&#39;identité, la possibilité de regarder cette relation sous un autre jour, à savoir celui du concept de transbiographie, que j&#39;expliquerai tout à l&#39;heure.
