We’re working on a fix. The <a href="http://doi.crossref.org/search/doi?pid=support@crossref.org&format=unixsd&doi=10.1080%2F17540054.2006.12288851">XML API</a> is also returning a 503 status code error at the moment. So, is <a href="http://doi.crossref.org">doi.crossref.org</a>.
