as it is written<MG1125>: <p class="indent1stline">“THEREFORE<MG1223, 3778> I WILL <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>GIVE<MG1843> PRAISE<MG1843> TO YOU AMONG<MG1722> THE GENTILES<MG1484>, <t><p class="indent1">AND I WILL SING<MG5567> PRAISES<MG5567> TO YOUR NAME<MG3686>.” <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Again<MG3825> he says<MG3004>, <p class="indent1stline">“REJOICE<MG2165>, YOU GENTILES<MG1484>, WITH HIS PEOPLE<MG2992>.” <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And again<MG3825>, <p class="indent1stline">“PRAISE<MG134> THE LORD<MG2962> ALL<MG3956> YOU GENTILES<MG1484>, <t><p class="indent1">AND LET ALL<MG3956> THE PEOPLES<MG2992> PRAISE<MG1867> HIM.” <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Again<MG3825> Isaiah<MG2268> says<MG3004>, <p class="indent1stline">“THERE SHALL COME<MG1510> THE ROOT<MG4491> OF JESSE<MG2421>, <t><p class="indent1">AND HE WHO ARISES<MG450> TO RULE<MG757> OVER THE GENTILES<MG1484>, <t><p class="indent1">IN HIM WILL THE GENTILES<MG1484> HOPE<MG1679>.” <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> may the God<MG2316> of hope<MG1680> fill<MG4137> you with all<MG3956> joy<MG5479> and peace<MG1515> in believing<MG4100>, so<MG1519> that<MG1519> you will abound<MG4052> in hope<MG1680> by the power<MG1411> of the Holy<MG40> Spirit<MG4151>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And concerning<MG4012> you, my brothers<MG80> <i>and sisters,</i> I myself<MG846> also<MG2532> am convinced<MG3982> that you yourselves<MG846> are full<MG3324> of goodness<MG19b>, filled<MG4137> with all<MG3956> knowledge<MG1108> and able<MG1410> also<MG2532> to admonish<MG3560> one<MG240> another<MG240>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>But I have written<MG1125> very<MG5112> boldly<MG5112> to you on some<MG3313> points<MG3313> so<MG5613> as<MG5613> to remind<MG1878> you again<MG1878>, because<MG1223> of the grace<MG5485> that was given<MG1325> to me <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>from God<MG2316>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>to be a minister<MG3011> of Christ<MG5547> Jesus<MG2424> to the Gentiles<MG1484>, ministering<MG2418> as<MG2418> a<MG2418> priest<MG2418> the gospel<MG2098> of God<MG2316>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> <i>my</i> offering<MG4376> of the Gentiles<MG1484> may become<MG1096> acceptable<MG2144>, sanctified<MG37> by the Holy<MG40> Spirit<MG4151>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Therefore<MG3767> in Christ<MG5547> Jesus<MG2424> I have<MG2192> found reason<MG2746a> for<MG2746a> boasting<MG2746a> in things pertaining<MG4314> to God<MG2316>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>For I will not presume<MG5111> to speak<MG2980> of anything<MG5100> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>except<MG3756> what<MG3739> Christ<MG5547> has accomplished<MG2716> through<MG1223> me, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>resulting<MG1519> in<MG1519> the obedience<MG5218> of the Gentiles<MG1484> by word<MG3056> and deed<MG2041>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>in the power<MG1411> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>signs<MG4592> and wonders<MG5059>, in the power<MG1411> of the Spirit<MG4151>; so<MG5620> that<MG5620> from Jerusalem<MG2419> and all<MG2945> around<MG2945> as far<MG3360> as Illyricum<MG2437> I have <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>fully<MG4137> preached<MG4137> the gospel<MG2098> of Christ<MG5547>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And in<MG3779> this<MG3779> way<MG3779> I aspired<MG5389> to preach<MG2097> the gospel<MG2097>, not where<MG3699> Christ<MG5547> was <i>already</i> known<MG3687> by<MG3687> name<MG3687>, so<MG2443> that<MG2443> I would not build<MG3618> on another<MG245> person’s<MG245> foundation<MG2310b>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>but just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> it is written<MG1125>: <p class="indent1stline">“THEY WHO<MG3739> HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD<MG312> ABOUT<MG4012> HIM WILL SEE<MG3708>, <t><p class="indent1">AND THEY WHO HAVE NOT HEARD<MG191> WILL UNDERSTAND<MG4920>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>For this<MG1352> reason<MG1352> I have often<MG4183> been prevented<MG1465> from coming<MG2064> to you; <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>but now<MG3570>, with no<MG3371> further<MG3371> place<MG5117> for me in these<MG3778> regions<MG2824>, and since I have had<MG2192> for many<MG2425> years<MG2094> a longing<MG1974> to come<MG2064> to you <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>whenever<MG5613, 1437> I go<MG4198> to Spain<MG4681>—for I hope<MG1679> to see<MG2300> you in passing<MG1279>, and to be helped<MG4311> on<MG4311> my way<MG4311> there<MG1563> by you, when I have first<MG4413> enjoyed<MG1705a> your company <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>for a while<MG3313>— <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>but now<MG3570>, I am going<MG4198> to Jerusalem<MG2419>, serving<MG1247> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>saints<MG40>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>For Macedonia<MG3109> and Achaia<MG882> have been<MG2106> pleased<MG2106> to make<MG4160> a contribution<MG2842> for the poor<MG4434> among the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>saints<MG40> in Jerusalem<MG2419>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>For they were pleased<MG2106> <i>to do so,</i> and they are indebted<MG3781> to them. For if<MG1487> the Gentiles<MG1484> have shared<MG2841> in their spiritual<MG4152> things<MG4152>, they are indebted<MG3784> to do<MG3008> them a<MG3008> service<MG3008> also<MG2532> in material<MG4559> things<MG4559>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>Therefore<MG3767>, when I have finished<MG2005> this<MG3778>, and have <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>put<MG4972> my seal<MG4972> on<MG4972> this<MG3778> fruit<MG2590> of theirs<MG846>, I will go<MG565> on by way<MG1223> of you to Spain<MG4681>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>I know<MG3609a> that when I come<MG2064> to you, I will come<MG2064> in the fullness<MG4138> of the blessing<MG2129> of Christ<MG5547>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> I urge<MG3870> you, brothers<MG80> <i>and sisters,</i> by our Lord<MG2962> Jesus<MG2424> Christ<MG5547> and by the love<MG26> of the Spirit<MG4151>, to strive<MG4865> together<MG4865> with me in your prayers<MG4335> to God<MG2316> for me, <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>that I may be rescued<MG4506> from those<MG3588> who are disobedient<MG544> in Judea<MG2449>, and <i>that</i> my service<MG1248> for Jerusalem<MG2419> may prove<MG1096> acceptable<MG2144> to the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>saints<MG40>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>so<MG2443> that<MG2443> I may come<MG2064> to you in joy<MG5479> by the will<MG2307> of God<MG2316> and relax<MG4875> in<MG4875> your company<MG4875>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/15-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> the God<MG2316> of peace<MG1515> <i>be</i> with you all<MG3956>.
