The mediating effect of work-life conflict on the relationship between WLB practices and turnover intentions is also investigated. This research was applied to the context of private hospitals in Jordan targeting medical-staff. Questionnaires were randomly distributed to medical-staff and yielded a response rate of 80.6 percent. Reliability and validity tests were first carried out, then data was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM).Results revealed that manager support was the only WLB practice that had a significant negative direct effect on turnover intentions. Job autonomy had a negative indirect effect on turnover intentions through work-life conflict. Meanwhile, schedule flexibility had insignificant effect on turnover intentions. As 113 samples from one of the public universities in Malaysia collected for this study. Besides, SPSS version 20.0 was used to analyze the collected data. Pearson Correlation test was used to identify the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between manager support and turnover intention. They face a multitude of obstacles posed by the corporate environment. Work-life balance is known to increase employees&#39; focus at work. However, when there is an imbalance, employees feel pressured, which may influence absenteeism. There has been little research on the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between work-life balance and turnover intentions among nurses in Sierra Leone. The study aimed to evaluate its role on turnover intention among nurses in Connaught Hospital, Sierra Leone and the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship. A quantitative approach was employed in the research. Data was collected online via Google Forms and a total of 230 responses were used for analysis. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 20. Regression analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis. The findings revealed a partial mediation between the constructs. Hospital administrators and policy-makers should focus on strategies to improve job satisfaction among nurses, beyond solely addressing work-life balance concerns. In addition to that, gender difference is also taken into consideration to draw concrete conclusion. The study is quantitative in nature. Based on the literature review it is proposed that work-life balance and satisfaction will be significantly contributing in developing commitment among the chosen respondents. In order to measure selected variables 13 items were adopted to measure work-life balance (Chaney, 2007; Gutak et.al., 1991). Job satisfaction is measured by Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). 11 items were selected from work commitment index to measure organizational commitment (Blau et al.,1993). Results revealed a moderate level of work-life balance, job satisfaction and organizational commitment among the chosen employees. Significant relationship is found between work-life balance and job satisfaction. Work interfering family life and family interfering work life are found positively related with organizational commitment. The sample in this study as many as 86 employees with a sampling technique that is the probability sampling. In addition, the data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, simple linear analysis, classical assumption test, coefficient of determination, and t test using the SPSS version 26 application to process the data. The population in this study is hotel employees in Yogyakarta. Hospitality industry is categorized as industry with high employee turnover rate, while hotel management must retain the best employees. Using survey data from 167 hotel employees in Yogyakarta, simple and moderated regression analysis show that overall, work-family conflict positively influenced intention to leave, while flexible work arrangement do not significantly moderate the relationship of that variables. However, when the sample is split between male and female employees it shows different result, as for the female employees a flexible work arrangement moderates the relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intention, while for male workers the moderating effect is not significant. This research shows that gender takes role as female employees demand more flexible work arrangements when confronted with negative work experience than male employees. Doctors who experience higher work stress will inevitably experience WFC, consequently triggering their intention to quit. Design/methodology/approach A total of 202 structured questionnaire responses were collected from medical doctors in four Malaysian public hospitals. The study used partial least squares structural equation modeling (SmartPLS 3.0) for hypotheses testing. RA is also observed to reduce WE, which, in turn, increases the intention to quit.
