name="2"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-1.htm#aramaic"><b>1</b></a></span>And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: “Thus says THE LORD OF LORDS, ‘Behold I am against you, Gog, Leader and the Head of Meshek and of Tubil <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And I shall calm you, and I shall gather you, and I shall bring you up from the borders of the North, and I shall bring you to the mountains of Israel <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>And I shall turn aside your bow from your left hand and your arrows from your right hand <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And in the mountains of Israel you shall fall, you and all your army, and the many nations with you, for to the birds of the wing and to of islands who are in quietness, and they shall know that I AM LORD JEHOVAH<p> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And The Name of my holiness I shall teach within my people, Israel, and he shall not pollute The Name of my holiness again, and the nations shall know that I AM LORD JEHOVAH, The Holy One of Israel <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>The day that I said was to come has arrived, says THE LORD OF LORDS <p> <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And the inhabitants of the cities of Israel shall come out, and they shall set fire to the armor and to the shields and to the spears and to the bows and to the arrows and to the clubs of the hands and to the lances and they shall burn some of them in fire seven years <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And they shall have no need for wood of the field or of the forest, but they shall burn some of their armor in fire, and they shall capture those who captured them, and they shall plunder those who plundered them, says THE LORD OF LORDS<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>In that day I shall give there a place to Gog for a tomb in Israel, the great valley that is to the East of the Sea, and they shall close off the valley and they shall bury Gog there and all his army, and it shall be called ‘The Valley of the End of Gog’ <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And for seven months, they of the house of Israel shall bury them, and the land shall be cleansed <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And they shall bury all the people of the land, and it will be fame for them, in the day that I am glorified, says LORD JEHOVAH <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And after seven months there shall be men constantly walking in the land, and burying those who were left in the land, so that it would be cleansed <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And everyone who passes in the land and sees the bone of a son of man, he shall set up on its end a heap of stones, until those who bury come picking it up in the Valley of Gog <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And the name of the city shall be named, “The Mighty”, and they shall cleanse the land<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>But you, son of man, say to all the birds of the sky and to every animal of the wilderness, ‘Thus says THE LORD OF LORDS: be gathered and come from every place to the great sacrifice that I sacrifice to you in the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>The flesh of mighty men you shall eat and the blood of Princes of the Earth you shall drink, of rams and of calves, and of hegoats and of bulls and the young bullocks of Bayshan, all of them <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>And you shall eat flesh and you shall be satisfied, and you shall drink blood, and you shall be drunk from the sacrifice that I sacrifice to you <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And you shall be satisfied from my table: the flesh of horses and of their riders, and of mighty men and of all the warrior men’, says THE LORD OF LORDS<p> <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>And I shall accomplish my glory among the nations, and all of the nations shall see the judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have set upon them <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>And they of the house of Israel shall know that I AM LORD JEHOVAH their God, from that day and beyond <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>And the nations shall know that because of their evil the children of Israel were taken captive, for they have done evil to me, and I turned my face from them and I handed them over into the hands of those hating them, and all of them fell by the sword <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>And according to their abominations and according to their evil I have paid them, and I turned my face from them”<p> <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>Because of this, thus says THE LORD OF LORDS: therefore I return the captivity of Yaqob and I show compassion on all the house of Israel, and I am zealous because of The Name of my holiness <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-26.htm#aramaic"><b>26</b></a></span>And they shall bear all that they have done to me in their shame and their evil when they dwelt in their land in quietness, and there was none molesting them <A name="28"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-27.htm#aramaic"><b>27</b></a></span>Whenever I have gathered them from the nations and I have brought them from the cities of their enemies, and I am hallowed by them before the eyes of the many nations <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/39-28.htm#aramaic"><b>28</b></a></span>And they shall know that I AM LORD JEHOVAH their God.
