And the answer is 'Not very long,” the New York-based mom says.  “I travel because I do a lot of public speaking. I have a website goodenoughmother.com… Also, I spend a lot of time going back and forth to Los Angeles.”</p> <p>As a self-proclaimed “low maintenance” traveler Syler admits being resourceful is key. The former journalist packs plenty of cotton T-shirts before heading out on a trip. “I wear them under my clothes, but I also dry my hair with them,” she laughs. “My hair is naturally curly…and the hotel towels can be really tough on my hair.” </p> <p>She also never leaves home without her “snowball” microphone. “I have to track audio on the road,” she explains. “This is a really easy way to get good clean sound.
