style="text-align: left; unicode-bidi: bidi-override; direction: ltr"> <p>BAGHDAD, 19 January 2012 (IRIN) – Suicide attacks, assassinations and bombings in Iraq have claimed the lives of at least 265 people and injured hundreds of others since 18 December, the date the USA withdrew all but 200 of its troops from the country, according to the health and interior ministries. </p> <p>The wave of attacks, carried out mainly by Sunni extremists from Al-Qaeda in Iraq against Shia communities, has alarmed many who fear the country could descend into chaos once more, with the government itself acknowledging it is not capable of ensuring security on its own. </p> <p>The attacks also come as political factions are at loggerheads over how to reach a power-sharing deal. The Sunni community is complaining that it is being marginalized by the Shia-led government, which recently issued arrest warrants against Sunni Vice-President Tariq al-Hashemi and other politicians for allegedly operating death squads. </p> <p>Many fear the current violence could send the country back to the days of 2006-07 when Shia-Sunni conflict left thousands of people dead and millions of others displaced. A few families have already packed their bags and others are contemplating leaving. </p> <h3>Here is how some Iraqis are feeling: </h3> <p>Sultan Abdul-Latif Ibrahim, a 55-year-old father of six from the Shia Shabak minority in the northern province of Ninevah: “I lost 10 of my relatives since [the US-led invasion in] 2003… We used to live in the provincial capital, Mosul, for years with Sunnis and Christians. But in 2007 we were forced out of our houses by Sunni extremists who blew up our homes. Since then, we have been living in a makeshift camp on the outskirts of Mosul. Last Monday [16 January] our camp was attacked by a parked car bomb, killing eight people, including six of my relatives. I wish to die now rather than later. We can’t bear the hardships we are going through every day. We, the Shia, are facing constant threats by Sunni extremists who want to eliminate us and there is no place to go. الحسين العام في الناصرية مركز محافظة ذي قار، الخميس، أن 118 شخصاً على الأقل سقطوا بين قتيل وجريح بتفجيرين بحزام ناسف وعبوة ناسفة استهدفا زوار كربلاء غرب المدينة. <br/>وقال مدير مستشفى الحسين أحمد عبد الصاحب الخاقاني إن المستشفى استقبل 38 جثة و80 جريحاً سقطوا بتفجير بحزام ناسف في تقاطع جسر فهد وعبوة ناسفة على طريق الناصرية_البطحاء، مبيناً أن الانفجارين استهدفا زوار أربعينية الإمام الحسين أثناء التفجير".وأضاف المصدر الذي طلب عدم الكشف عن اسمه، أن "سيارات الإسعاف هرعت إلى منطقة الحادث ونقلت الجرحى إلى مستشفى قريب لتلقي العلاج وجثث القتلى إلى دائرة الطب العدلي، فيما فرضت قوة أمنية طوقا أمنيا على منطقة الحادث وقطعت جميع الطرق المؤدية اليه".</p> <p><strong>ارتفاع حصيلة تفجير مدينة الصدر المزدوج إلى 45 قتيلا وجريحا</strong> </p> <p>أفاد مصدر في الشرطة العراقية، الخميس، بأن حصيلة التفجير المزدوج بعبوتين ناسفتين بمدينة الصدر، شرق بغداد، ارتفعت إلى 45 قتيلا وجريحا.وقال المصدر إن "حصيلة التفجير المزدوج بعبوتين ناسفتين في منطقة الداخل التابعة لمدينة الصدر، شرق بغداد، ارتفعت إلى عشرة قتلى و35 جريحا"، مرجحا "ارتفاع حصيلة الضحايا بسبب شدة التفجير". وأضاف المصدر الذي طلب عدم الكشف عن اسمه، أن "سيارات الاسعاف نقلت الجرحى إلى مستشفى قريب لتلقي العلاج وجثث القتلى إلى دائرة الطب العدلي، فيما نفذتها صباح الخميس في قضاء الحويجة، جنوب غرب المحافظة بينما اعتقلت شرطة دهوك خمسة إيرانيين بينهم امرأة في قضاء بردرش جنوب شرق دهوك، وذكر مصدر في شرطة المحافظة أن المعتقلين الخمسة متهمون باعمال سرقة وخمسين قتيلا وجريحا سقطوا مع ساعات الصباح الاولى والحصيلة مازالت مستمرة بالتصاعد.. وبغداد تحولت الى شوارع فارغة واخرى مقطوعة تتصاعد منها سحب اثني عشر تفجيرا بسيارات ملغمة وعبوات ناسفة حتى لحظة كتابة هذا التقرير… في مايعتبره الكثيرون ترجمة ميدانية لواقع سياسي وصل الى حدود غير مسبوقة من التازم.. <br/>فحتى في ايام الحرب الطائفية في السنين الماضية التي اتهم فيها نواب وقادة كتل بالمسؤولية عن عمليات ارهابية وعلاقات بميليشيات فانه لم يكن هناك مسؤول بدرجة نائب رئيس جمهورية يتهم بهذه التهم الخطرة وتصدر بحقه مذكرة القاء قبض بينما لايزال مستمرا بتادية مهامه داخل العراق. كما انها المرة الاولى التي يقوم فيها اقليم كردستان باستضافة مسؤول مطلوب للقضاء في العلن ويسمح له بعقد مؤتمر صحفي يهاجم فيه الحكومة بصورة غير مسبوقة. <br/>ويقول المراقبون ان هذا التصعيد الامني المرافق للتصعيد السياسي الاخير سيكون له عدد من التاثيرات المتباينة .. فهو من جهة سيؤدي بسبب تركيزه على استهداف مناطق ذات اغلبية من مكون معين الى الضغط على الحكومة في وقت تعاني فيه اصلا من الضغط.. لكنه سيؤدي ايضا الى تفاقم مشاعر الغضب لدى هذا المكون تجاه كل من يتهم بدعم الارهاب.. وبالتالي فانه سيقدم دعما لرئاسة الوزراء في توجهها لاعتقال الهاشمي ويضع اقليم كردستان بموقف المتهم بدعم الارهاب في حال استمرت حماية رئاسة الاقليم للهاشمي الذي لم يخف وجوده في الاقليم بل على العكس فانه عقد في عاصمته اربيل مؤتمرا هاجم فيه الحكومة بحدة. <br/>ومن جهة اخرى فان هذه التفجيرات ستضع الحكومة بموقف العاجز عن فرض الامن وهو مايفيد الهاشمي دعائيا لكن حدوثها بهذا التوقيت سيجعل الكثير من اصابع الاتهام تشير اليه.. حتى وان لم يكن له أي علاقة بهذه الاحداث. <br/>وبينما يشير بعض المختصين الى ان اصابع القاعدة تبدو واضحة بهذه التفجيرات التي لم تعلن أي جهة مسؤليتها عنها حتى الان.. يقول اخرون ان هذه الاوضاع قد تكون ردا سريعا على دعوة رئيس الوزراء للشركاء السياسيين للتوقف عن دعم العنف.. في حين تبدو الحقيقة الوحيدة التي يمكن التاكد منها هي ان بغداد عاشت is offering homes to poor Christian families uprooted by sectarian violence in what it says is a humanitarian gesture, denying suggestions the move is designed to boost its electoral base in the disputed Kirkuk region.</p> <p>Since the 2003 United States-led invasion, Iraqi Christians have often been the target of violence by Islamist extremists, forcing more than 200,000 of them to leave Iraq.</p> <p>In the worst outrage in October 2010, al-Qaeda-linked militants stormed a church in central Baghdad, killing over 60 people.</p> <p>In an effort, the PUK says, is aimed at alleviating their plight, the joint ruling party in Iraqi Kurdistan has provided 200 plots of land and 10,000 US dollar grants to low-income Christian families in a gated compound in Se Ganian (The Three Springs in Kurdish), a Kurdish village destroyed by Saddam, ten kilometres north of Kirkuk.</p> <p>While commentators acknowledge the plan is well-intentioned, they suggest it may be strategic too.</p> <p>“This initiative is humanitarian but also a political move to get more votes for [the PUK’s] next campaign in Kirkuk,” said Mohammad Ameen, a political analyst and a professor at Kirkuk city on Friday, local authorities and witnesses said. </p> <p>The blast left burned bodies and damaged vehicles near a Shia mosque where relatives had gathered in a tent for the funeral of a local sheikh, witnesses said. Ambulances ferried three or four people at a time from the scene. </p> <p>“I was standing on the other side of the funeral tent, and suddenly the place turned into hell, all my relatives were cut down and their bodies were burned,” said Haider Qahtan, 37, whose hand was injured in the blast. </p> <p>At least 18 people were killed and 48 more wounded, a police official at the scene said. </p> <p>Hilla, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad, is a mainly Shia city on a route used by pilgrims visiting Shi’ite holy sites in the south of the country. </p> <p>Violence in Iraq has eased since the sectarian strife took the country to the brink of civil war a few years after the U.S. invasion. But Sunni Islamists tied to al Qaeda and Shia militias still carry out daily attacks. </p> <p>Sunni insurgents often target Shia pilgrims with car bombs and suicide attacks in an attempt to rekindle align="right">أفادت مصادر طبية في محافظة كربلاء الأحد بأن حصيلة التفجيرات التي ضربت المحافظة اليوم بلغت 114 شهيدا وجريحا.وقالت المصادر إن مستشفى الحسين استقبل صباح اليوم 15 شهيدا و99 جريحا جراء التفجيرات التي هزت محافظة كربلاء مشيرة إلى أن كوادر المستشفى وضعت في حالة استنفار لتقديم العلاج اللازم للمصابين.وشهدت كربلاء اليوم أربعة تفجيرات بسيارتين مفخختين وعبوتين ناسفتين استهدفت مناطق متفرقة وسط المحافظة وسط حالة من الهلع والذعر. وأعلنت قيادة عمليات الفرات الأوسط اليوم أن الحصيلة الأولية للتفجيرات الأربعة التي ضربت كربلاء بلغت 10 شهداء 70 جريحا. يذكر أن محافظة كربلاء 100 كم جنوب العاصمة بغداد شهدت منتصف تموز الماضي عدة تفجيرات خلال الزيارة الشعبانية أسفرت عن استشهاد وإصابة 110 أشخاص، في حين أكدت عمليات الفرات الأوسط اعتقال 42 مطلوبا وأبطال 16 عبوة ناسفة خلال الزيارة.</p> </div>
