Persons submitting ideas must provide sufficient detail to clearly describe the key elements of the idea and the way in which it would be used. <br/><br/>Ideas will be published as they are received and may be used by entrants for any other categories of the Competition.</p> <h3>Applications</h3> <p>Victorians will be able to submit an application they have developed. A <a href="/web/20130409223728/http://archive.premier.vic.gov.au/app-my-state/about-app-my-state.html">definition of application</a> for the purpose of the competition is available here.<br/><br/>Prizes for applications will be awarded in four categories:</p> <ul> <li>Open </li> <li>Youth</li> <li>Sustainability</li> <li>Popular choice</li> </ul> <p><br/><strong>Open Category</strong><br/>Entrants of any age may enter this category. Judges will determine the winners in this category first. <br/><br/><strong>Youth Category</strong><br/>The youth category allows entrants 25 years old or younger to compete for a separate prize pool. Youth category entrants will remain eligible for the open category, but will only be eligible to win a prize in either the youth or open category. <br/><br/>For a group entry in the Youth Category to be eligible, all entrants within that group must be 25 years old or younger. Identification will be required for winning entries.<br/><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Sustainability Category</strong><br/>The sustainability category is for applications that help Victorians to be more environmentally sustainable in the home, in business or in the community.<br/>Entrants of any age may enter this category.</p> <p>Sustainability category entrants will remain eligible for the open category and youth category, but will only be eligible to win a prize in either sustainable environment, open or youth category.</p> <p><strong>Popular choice Category</strong><br/>All application submissions are eligible for a separate prize as voted by the public. Voting will not be available until the entry period has concluded. Entrants will be ruled ineligible for the popular choice category if any unconscionable vote manipulation or tampering is suspected. <br/><br/>In the event that two or more applications share the highest number of votes the judges will determine the result.<br/><br/></p> <h2><a name="prizes"></a>Prizes</h2> <p>Total prizes are valued at $100,000. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
