UK. </p> <p>The 2011 awards scheme has closed but you can still register your interest, create an online showcase for your school council, and read top tips from other councils by visiting the <a School Council Awards 2011 </h2> <h3>Winners</h3> <p>The five winners of the 2011 awards scheme visited the Houses of Parliament on 30 June for a winners' day. They took part in workshops about best practice for school councils, went on a tour of the Palace of Westminster, and collected their award from Mr Speaker at an awards ceremony in the Speaker's
