<p><span>WordPress is by far the most popular content management system used by publishers to build their websites, and </span><span style="font-weight: normal;">as</span><strong data-stringify-type="bold"><span> </span></strong><span>such we wanted to make sure that the user experience for our tens of thousands of WordPress publishers is as good as it can possibly be</span><strong data-stringify-type="bold">. </strong><span style="font-weight: normal;">This is why we're thrilled to roll out v3.1 today.</span></p> <p style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 24px;">What's new in v3.1?</p> <p style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Compatibility with block themes:</span> Disqus is now compatible with WordPress' default block themes! This gives you greater flexibility in integrating Disqus with a larger palette of website themes available in WordPress. Disqus remains compatible with classic themes as well.</p> <p style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Improved syncing tools: </span>The newly updated plugin offers wide-ranging enhancements to both manual and automatic syncing functionality. We've addressed a number of bugs that were impacting syncing tools, and we've also expanded the allowable manual syncing data rage for greater ease-of-use. On a related note, we've established more helpful error messaging in the browser console and throughout the plugin UI—this will allow for easier troubleshooting when encountering any issues with syncing (but we don't expect you'll encounter many at all).</p> <p style="font-weight: bold;">Compatible with WordPress 6.5: <span style="font-weight: normal;">Last week, WordPress debuted the latest version of their platform, <a href="https://wordpress.org/news/2024/04/regina/" rel="noopener" target="_blank"><span style="color: #2e9fff; font-weight: bold;">WordPress 6.5</span></a>, <a href="https://wordpress.org/news/2024/04/regina/" rel="noopener" target="_blank" style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #ff0201;"><span style="color: #2e9fff;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"></span></span></span></a>and we've proactively made sure that our plugin is completely compatible with it.
