<span class="reftext"><a href="/nehemiah/10-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>and that we will not give<MH5414> our daughters<MH1323> to the peoples<MH5971a> of the land<MH776> or take<MH3947> their daughters<MH1323> for our sons<MH1121>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/nehemiah/10-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>As for the peoples<MH5971a> of the land<MH776> who bring<MH935> wares<MH4728> or any<MH3605> grain<MH7668> on the Sabbath<MH7676> day<MH3117> to sell<MH4376>, we will not <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>buy<MH3947> from them on the Sabbath<MH7676> or on <i>any</i> holy<MH6944> day<MH3117>; and we will forgo<MH5203> <i>the crops of</i> the seventh<MH7637> year<MH8141> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>every<MH3605> debt<MH4855>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/nehemiah/10-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>We also imposed<MH5975> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>on ourselves the obligation<MH4687> to contribute<MH5414> yearly<MH8141> a third<MH7992> of a shekel<MH8255> for the service<MH5656> of the house<MH1004> of our God<MH430>: <span class="reftext"><a href="/nehemiah/10-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>for the showbread<MH3899, 4635>, for the continual<MH8548> grain offering<MH4503>, for the continual<MH8548> burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>, the Sabbaths<MH7676>, the new<MH2320> moons<MH2320>, for the appointed<MH4150> times<MH4150>, for the holy<MH6944> things<MH6944>, and for the sin<MH2403b> offerings<MH2403b> to make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for Israel<MH3478>, and all<MH3605> the work<MH4399> of the house<MH1004> of our God<MH430>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/nehemiah/10-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>Likewise we cast<MH5307> lots<MH1486> for the supply<MH7133b> of wood<MH6086> <i>among</i> the priests<MH3548>, the Levites<MH3881>, and the people<MH5971a> so that they could bring<MH935> it to the house<MH1004> of our God<MH430>, according to our fathers’<MH1> households<MH1004>, at set<MH2163> times<MH6256> annually<MH8141>, to burn<MH1197a> on the altar<MH4196> of the LORD<MH3068> our God<MH430>, as it is written<MH3789> in the Law<MH8451>;
