From 1996, he was the Consultant and Head of Gynaecological Endoscopy at Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr. Yuen is a pioneer in gynaecological endoscopic surgery in Hong Kong and is widely recognized as an international expert in this field. He is actively involved in numerous international and local conferences and workshops, particularly in China and Southeast Asia. He holds honorary professorships and consultancy roles at nine hospitals in China and contributes as an editor and reviewer for various international and national journals. Dr. Yuen received the Endoscopics Award from China in 2005 and the Endos Award in Medical Science and Technology in 2009. He is a founding board member and former president of the Hong Kong Gynaecological Endoscopy Society and the Asia Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE), and serves as a board member of the International Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE) and an international advisor for the American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
