Determined to change this, Solana dedicated her Gold Award project, “Gracias a la Vida: Latina Voices of South Pasadena,” to uplifting Latinx stories and voices. Through her project, she created a powerful gallery exhibit at the South Pasadena Library, featuring photographic and biographical portraits of twelve Latinas who have made significant contributions to the community.
