I, Paul<MG3972>, tell<MG3004> you that if<MG1437> you have<MG4059> yourselves circumcised<MG4059>, Christ<MG5547> will be of no<MG3762> benefit<MG5623> to you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>And I testify<MG3143> again<MG3825> to every<MG3956> man<MG444> who has<MG4059> himself circumcised<MG4059>, that he is obligated<MG3781> to keep<MG4160> the whole<MG3650> Law<MG3551>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>You have been severed<MG2673> from Christ<MG5547>, you who<MG3748> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>are seeking to be justified<MG1344> by the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>Law<MG3551>; you have fallen<MG1601b> from grace<MG5485>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>For we, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>through the Spirit<MG4151>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>by faith<MG4102>, are waiting<MG553> for the hope<MG1680> of righteousness<MG1343>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>For in Christ<MG5547> Jesus<MG2424> neither<MG3777> circumcision<MG4061> nor<MG3777> uncircumcision<MG203> means<MG2480> anything<MG5100>, but faith<MG4102> working<MG1754> through<MG1223> love<MG26>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>You were running<MG5143> well<MG2573>; who<MG5101> hindered<MG1465> you from obeying<MG3982> the truth<MG225>? <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>This<MG3588> persuasion<MG3988> <i>did</i> not <i>come</i> from Him who calls<MG2564> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>A little<MG3398> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>leaven<MG2219> leavens<MG2220> the whole<MG3650> lump<MG5445> <i>of dough.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>I have<MG3982> confidence<MG3982> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>in you in the Lord<MG2962>, that you will adopt<MG5426> no<MG3762> other<MG243> view<MG5426>; but the one who is disturbing<MG5015> you will bear<MG941> the punishment<MG2917>, whoever<MG3748, 1437> he is. <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/5-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>But as for me, brothers<MG80> <i>and sisters,</i> if<MG1487> I still<MG2089> preach<MG2784> circumcision<MG4061>, why<MG5101> am I still<MG2089> persecuted<MG1377>?
