<p>2024年度邵逸夫獎得獎者，包括天文學獎得主史里尼瓦斯．庫爾卡尼教授(Professor Shrinivas R Kulkarni)、生命科學與醫學獎得主鄧瑞麗博士(Dr <span class="xn-person">Swee Lay Thein</span>)和斯圖爾特．奧金教授(Professor <span class="xn-person">Stuart Orkin</span>)，以及數學科學獎得主彼得．薩納克教授(Professor <span class="xn-person">Peter Sarnak</span>)，由邵逸夫獎評審會主席萊因哈德．根舍教授(Professor <span class="xn-person">Reinhard Genzel</span>)手上接過獎項。</p> <p>邵逸夫天文學獎得主庫爾卡尼教授在獲獎感言中，感謝加州理工學院光學天文台以及史維基瞬變探測器的主要成員。該項目為庫爾卡尼教授獲「邵逸夫獎」表彰的貢獻之一。庫爾卡尼教授亦感謝他的學生、博士後研究員及資深同事，有效利用數據，衍生大量發現及論文。</p> <p>鄧博士及奧金教授因發現鐮狀紅血球貧血症和乙型地中海貧血症的基因和分子機制而獲頒邵逸夫生命科學與醫學獎。二人均強調，儘管這些血液疾病的基因編輯療法有重大突破，但這些療法對大多數病患來說仍然遙不可及。他們希望未來能夠發展更多治療方法，讓更多患者能夠得到治療。</p> <p>曾經擔任邵逸夫數學科學獎遴選委員會主席的薩納克教授，感謝獎項對學術及科研的支持。薩納克教授因發展出薄群的算術理論和仿射篩法而獲頒「邵逸夫獎」，他發表感言的時候，回憶起他獲表彰的工作是在2005年杭州的一個會議中誕生的。</p> <p>2021年度邵逸夫生命科學與醫學獎得獎者斯科特．埃姆爾教授(Professor Scott D
