class="col-xs-12 col-md-8"> <h1>Governance</h1> <p><em>The Institute is a body incorporated by Royal Charter and a charity registered in England & Wales (269275) and in Scotland (SC050586).</em></p> <p><strong>A new governance structure has been in place since November 2019, as shown below. </strong><br /> The modernisation of our governance structure is continuing, and you can view the proposals class="collapsible-header-link"> Executive Board </a> </h4> <div class="collapsible-content"> <p>IOM3 is managed by an Executive Board, the members of which are Trustees of the Institute.  They are drawn from senior members of the Institute and are responsible for the ongoing management of strategy and performance of the Institute. There are nine Strategic Advisors, each one looking after one of the nine IOM3 technical themes, as well as two or three of the Technical Community groups.</p> <h6>Specialist Technical Communities</h6> <p>The Institute’s structure is designed to provide enhanced networks for learned society activities in addition to regionally organised affiliated society events.
