you shall make<MH6213a> them of twisted<MH4020> cord<MH5688> work<MH4639>, and you shall put<MH5414> the corded<MH5688> chains<MH8333> on the filigree<MH4865> settings<MH4865>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>&#8220;You shall make<MH6213a> a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>breastpiece<MH2833> of judgment<MH4941>, the work<MH4639> of a skilled<MH2803> embroiderer<MH2803>; like the work<MH4639> of the ephod<MH646> you shall make<MH6213a> it: of gold<MH2091>, of violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material,</i> and fine<MH8336> twisted<MH7806> linen<MH8336> you shall make<MH6213a> it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>It shall be square<MH7251> <i>and</i> folded<MH3717> double<MH3717>, a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>span<MH2239> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>in length<MH753> and a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>span<MH2239> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>in width<MH7341>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And you shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>mount<MH4390, 4396> on it four<MH702> rows<MH2905> of stones<MH68>; the first<MH259> row<MH2905> <i>shall be</i> a row<MH2905> of ruby<MH124>, topaz<MH6357>, and emerald<MH1304a>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>and the second<MH8145> row<MH2905> a turquoise<MH5306>, a sapphire<MH5601>, and a diamond<MH3095>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>and the third<MH7992> row<MH2905> a jacinth<MH3958>, an agate<MH7618>, and an amethyst<MH306>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>and the fourth<MH7243> row<MH2905> a beryl<MH8658>, and an onyx<MH7718>, and a jasper<MH3471>; they shall be set<MH7660> in gold<MH2091> filigree<MH4396>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>The stones<MH68> shall be <i>engraved</i> according<MH5921> to the names<MH8034> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>: twelve<MH8147, 6240>, according<MH5921> to their names<MH8034>; they shall be <i>like</i> the engravings<MH6603> of a signet<MH2368>, each<MH376> according<MH5921> to his name<MH8034> for the twelve<MH8147, 6240> tribes<MH7626>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>You shall also make<MH6213a> on the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>breastpiece<MH2833> twisted<MH1383> chains<MH8333> of cord<MH5688> work<MH4639> in pure<MH2889> gold<MH2091>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>And you shall make<MH6213a> on the breastpiece<MH2833> two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> of gold<MH2091>, and shall put<MH5414> the two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> on the two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>And you shall put<MH5414> the two<MH8147> cords<MH5688> of gold<MH2091> on the two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> at the ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>You shall put<MH5414> the <i>other</i> two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the two<MH8147> cords<MH5688> on the two<MH8147> filigree<MH4865> <i>settings,</i> and put<MH5414> them on the shoulder<MH3802> pieces of the ephod<MH646>, at the front<MH6440> of it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>And you shall make<MH6213a> two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> of gold<MH2091> and place<MH7760> them on the two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>, on the edge<MH8193> of it, which<MH834> is toward<MH413> the inner<MH1004> side<MH5676> of the ephod<MH646>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>And you shall make<MH6213a> two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> of gold<MH2091> and put<MH5414> them on the bottom<MH4295> of the two<MH8147> shoulder<MH3802> pieces of the ephod<MH646>, on the front<MH6440> of it close<MH5980> to the place<MH4225> where<MH4225> it is joined<MH4225>, above<MH4480, 4605> the skillfully<MH2805> woven<MH2805> band<MH2805> of the ephod<MH646>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>And they shall bind<MH7405> the breastpiece<MH2833> by its rings<MH2885> to the rings<MH2885> of the ephod<MH646> with a violet<MH8504> cord<MH6616>, so that it will be on the skillfully<MH2805> woven<MH2805> band<MH2805> of the ephod<MH646>, and that the breastpiece<MH2833> will not come<MH2118> loose<MH2118> from the ephod<MH646>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>So Aaron<MH175> shall carry<MH5375> the names<MH8034> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> in the breastpiece<MH2833> of judgment<MH4941> over<MH5921> his heart<MH3820> when he enters<MH935> the Holy<MH6944> Place<MH6944>, as a memorial<MH2146> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> continually<MH8548>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>And you shall put<MH5414> in the breastpiece<MH2833> of judgment<MH4941> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>Urim<MH224> and the Thummim<MH8550>, and they shall be over<MH5921> Aaron&#8217;s<MH175> heart<MH3820> when he goes<MH935> in<MH935> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>; and Aaron<MH175> shall carry<MH5375> the judgment<MH4941> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> over<MH5921> his heart<MH3820> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> continually<MH8548>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>&#8220;You shall make<MH6213a> the robe<MH4598> of the ephod<MH646> all<MH3632> of violet<MH8504>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>There shall be an opening<MH6310> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>at its top<MH7218> in the middle<MH8432> of it; around<MH5439> its opening<MH6310> there shall be a binding<MH8193> of woven<MH707> work<MH4639>, like the opening<MH6310> of a coat<MH8473> of<MH8473> mail<MH8473>, so that it will not be torn<MH7167>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>You shall make<MH6213a> on its hem<MH7757> pomegranates<MH7416> of violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material</i> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> on its hem<MH7757>, and bells<MH6472> of gold<MH2091> between<MH8432> them all<MH5439> around<MH5439>: <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>a golden<MH2091> bell<MH6472> and a pomegranate<MH7416>, a golden<MH2091> bell<MH6472> and a pomegranate<MH7416>, all<MH5439> around<MH5439> on the hem<MH7757> of the robe<MH4598>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>It shall be on Aaron<MH175> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>when he ministers<MH8334>; and its sound<MH6963> shall be heard<MH8085> when he enters<MH935> and leaves<MH3318> the Holy<MH6944> Place<MH6944> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>, so that he will not die<MH4191>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span>&#8220;You shall also make<MH6213a> a plate<MH6731b> of pure<MH2889> gold<MH2091> and engrave<MH6605b> on it, like the engravings<MH6603> of a signet<MH2368>, &#8216;Holy<MH6944> to the LORD<MH3068>.&#8217; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span>You shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>fasten<MH7760> it on a violet<MH8504> cord<MH6616>, and it shall be on the turban<MH4701>; it shall be at the front<MH6440> of the turban<MH4701>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span>It shall be on Aaron&#8217;s<MH175> forehead<MH4696>, and Aaron<MH175> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>take<MH5375> away the guilt<MH5771> of the holy<MH6944> things<MH6944> which<MH834> the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> consecrate<MH6942>, regarding all<MH3605> their holy<MH6944> gifts<MH4979>; and it shall always<MH8548> be on his forehead<MH4696>, so that they may be accepted<MH7522> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span>&#8220;And you shall weave<MH7660> the tunic<MH3801> of<MH7660> checkered<MH7660> work<MH7660> of fine<MH8336> linen<MH8336>, and shall make<MH6213a> a turban<MH4701> of fine<MH8336> linen<MH8336>, and you shall make<MH6213a> a sash<MH73>, the work<MH4639> of a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[u]</a></span>weaver<MH7551>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span>&#8220;For Aaron&#8217;s<MH175> sons<MH1121> you shall also make<MH6213a> tunics<MH3801>; you shall also make<MH6213a> sashes<MH73> for them, and you shall make<MH6213a> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[v]</a></span>caps<MH4021> for them, for glory<MH3519b> and for beauty<MH8597>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/28-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span>Then you shall put<MH3847> them on<MH3847> Aaron<MH175> your brother<MH251> and on his sons<MH1121> with him;
