I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling to new places, cooking, and baking. I love trying different types of food, especially anything local to an area when I travel. </p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{55}" paraid="1228063089"><strong>If you could go anywhere for a day, where would you go? </strong> </p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{63}" paraid="2071645978">I would go back to Iceland and hike up to the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It was a large flat opening at the top of a mountain where you could spin 360 degrees and see snow capped mountains, glaciers, and beautiful green grass rolling hills. I would just hang out up there all day soaking up the beauty of nature. </p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{80}" paraid="855031884"><strong>What advice would you give to a woman entering your field today?  </strong></p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{88}" paraid="917418109">Always push yourself to be the best person you can be in your role and find the people who you can keep as lifelong mentors. It is wonderful to have successful people supporting you and cheering you on throughout your career. Be uplifting to your female coworkers instead of competitive. Try to acknowledge when someone else has a great idea and agree with them while giving them credit and make sure your ideas are heard and recognized as well. </p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{103}" paraid="191920845"><strong>How do you think the role of women in the workforce has changed throughout your career?  </strong></p> <p paraeid="{615b617d-e1cb-4699-8429-680ff511bc13}{111}" paraid="622062471">I have been fortunate to enter the workforce after many women have fought for more equality in the workplace, and the fight continues. I have seen women take on high level roles that were previously only men, many women are currently fighting for equal pay which I hope continues, and I have been able to sit at the table with all men and let my voice be heard. If it weren’t for those before me, I might not have had the same confidence in myself.
