<poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>If<MG1487> we endure<MG5278>, we will also<MG2532> reign<MG4821> with Him; <t><p class="indent1">If<MG1487> we <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>deny<MG720> Him, He will also<MG2548> deny<MG720> us; <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>If<MG1487> we are faithless<MG569>, He remains<MG3306> faithful<MG4103>, for He cannot<MG1410, 3756> deny<MG720> Himself<MG1438>. <p class="hdg">An Unashamed Worker</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Remind<MG5279> <i>them</i> of these<MG3778> things<MG3778>, and solemnly<MG1263> exhort<MG1263> <i>them</i> in<MG1799> the<MG1799> presence<MG1799> of<MG1799> God<MG2316> not to dispute<MG3054> about<MG3054> words<MG3054>, which is useless<MG3762, 5539> <i>and leads</i> to the ruin<MG2692> of the listeners<MG191>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Be diligent<MG4704> to present<MG3936> yourself<MG4572> approved<MG1384> to God<MG2316> as a worker<MG2040> who <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>does<MG422> not<MG422> need<MG422> to<MG422> be<MG422> ashamed<MG422>, accurately<MG3718> handling<MG3718> the word<MG3056> of truth<MG225>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>But avoid<MG4026> worldly<MG952> <i>and</i> empty<MG2757> chatter<MG2757>, for <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>it will lead<MG4298> to further<MG4183> ungodliness<MG763>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/2-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>and their <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>talk<MG3056> will spread<MG3542> like<MG5613> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>gangrene<MG1044>.
