Ondanks dat ze zeer betaalbaar zijn (5 tot 6 RMB per stuk), behoren de 3M N95 altijd tot de best presterende maskers voor fijnstof (d.w.z. PM<sub>2,5</sub> luchtvervuiling). Een van de grote voordelen van het 9501-model is dat het opvouwbaar is, zodat u er altijd één mee kunt nemen zonder dat het veel ruimte in beslag neemt. En als u bent vergeten One in te nemen, kunt u dit masker ook bij elke supermarkt in China (zoals 7-Eleven) krijgen.</p> <p>Het label "<b>N95</b>" staat voor het vermogen van het masker om ten minste 95% van de in de lucht zwevende deeltjes groter dan 0,3 micron eruit te filteren (ter referentie: PM<sub>2,5</sub> deeltjes zijn 2,5 micron). Uit alle <a href='http://www.myhealthbeijing.com/children/awesome-trio-of-pollution-mask-tests-the-winners-and-losers/'>testresultaten</a>, N95 is goed genoeg voor het filteren van de meeste PM2,5-deeltjes, maar gevoelige personen kunnen overwegen om de N99-versie van die maskers te gebruiken (N99 staat voor het filteren van meer dan 99% van de in de lucht zwevende deeltjes). Houd er rekening mee dat een soortgelijk masker, met modelnummer <b>9001</b>, ook algemeen verkrijgbaar is en overeenkomt met de N90-filtratiestandaard.</p> <p>Merk op dat om echt efficiënt te zijn, deze maskers op de juiste manier moeten worden gebruikt en gedragen om een goede "pasvorm" bij het gezicht te garanderen. U kunt naar deze pagina van de overheid van Singapore verwijzen vanuit een eenvoudige maar goede uitleg op <a href='https://www.moh.gov.sg/resources-statistics/educational-resources/haze/faqs-on-haze-health-advisory#AnnexC' target=_>draagt N95-maskers</a>.
