<t><p class="indent1">It will be a day<MH3117> of clouds<MH6051>, <t><p class="indent1">A time<MH6256> <i>of doom</i> for the nations<MH1471>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>“A sword<MH2719> will come<MH935> upon Egypt<MH4714>, <t><p class="indent1">And there will be trembling<MH2479> in <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>Cush<MH3568a>; <t><p class="indent1">When the slain<MH2491a> fall<MH5307> in Egypt<MH4714>, <t><p class="indent1">They will take<MH3947> away her <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>wealth<MH1995>, <t><p class="indent1">And her foundations<MH3247> will be torn<MH2040> down<MH2040>. <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>Cush<MH3568a>, Put<MH6316>, Lud<MH3865>, all<MH3605> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>Arabia<MH6152a>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>Libya<MH3864> and the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>people<MH1121> of the land<MH776> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>that is in league<MH1285> will fall<MH5307> with them by the sword<MH2719>.” <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“Indeed, those who support<MH5564> Egypt<MH4714> will fall<MH5307> <t><p class="indent1">And the pride<MH1347b> of her power<MH5797> will come<MH3381> down<MH3381>; <t><p class="indent1">From Migdol<MH4024> <i>to</i> Syene<MH5482a> <t><p class="indent1">They will fall<MH5307> within her by the sword<MH2719>,” <t><p class="indent1">Declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“They will be<MH8074> desolate<MH8074> <t><p class="indent1">In the midst<MH8432> of the desolated<MH8074> lands<MH776>; <t><p class="indent1">And her cities<MH5892b> will be <t><p class="indent1">In the midst<MH8432> of the devastated<MH2717b> cities<MH5892b>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>“And they will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>, <t><p class="indent1">When I set<MH5414> a fire<MH784> in Egypt<MH4714> <t><p class="indent1">And all<MH3605> her helpers<MH5826> are broken<MH7665>. <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>On that day<MH3117> messengers<MH4397> will go<MH3318> out<MH3318> from Me in ships<MH6716a> to frighten<MH2729> carefree<MH983> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>Cush<MH3568a>; and trembling<MH2479> will come<MH1961> on them <i>as</i> on the day<MH3117> of Egypt<MH4714>; for behold<MH2009>, it is coming<MH935>!” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“I will also make the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>hordes<MH1995> of Egypt<MH4714> cease<MH7673a> <t><p class="indent1">By the hand<MH3027> of Nebuchadnezzar<MH5019> king<MH4428> of Babylon<MH894>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“He and his people<MH5971a> with him, <t><p class="indent1">The most<MH6184> ruthless<MH6184> of the nations<MH1471>, <t><p class="indent1">Will be brought<MH935> in<MH935> to destroy<MH7843> the land<MH776>; <t><p class="indent1">And they will draw<MH7385a> their swords<MH2719> against<MH5921> Egypt<MH4714> <t><p class="indent1">And fill<MH4390> the land<MH776> with the slain<MH2491a>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“Moreover, I will make<MH5414> the Nile<MH2975> canals<MH2975> dry<MH2724> <t><p class="indent1">And sell<MH4376> the land<MH776> into the hands<MH3027> of evil<MH7451a> men<MH7451a>. <t><p class="indent1">And I will make<MH8074> the land<MH776> desolate<MH8074> <t><p class="indent1">And <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>all<MH4393> that is in<MH4393> it, <t><p class="indent1">By the hand<MH3027> of strangers<MH2114a>; I the LORD<MH3068> have spoken<MH1696>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>‘This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“I will also destroy<MH6> the idols<MH1544> <t><p class="indent1">And make the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>images<MH457> cease<MH7673a> from <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>Memphis<MH5297>. <t><p class="indent1">And there will no<MH3808> longer<MH5750> be a prince<MH5387a> in the land<MH776> of Egypt<MH4714>; <t><p class="indent1">And I will put<MH5414> fear<MH3374> in the land<MH776> of Egypt<MH4714>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>“I will make<MH8074> Pathros<MH6624> desolate<MH8074>, <t><p class="indent1">Set<MH5414> a fire<MH784> in Zoan<MH6814> <t><p class="indent1">And execute<MH6213a> judgments<MH8201> on <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>Thebes<MH4996>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“I will pour<MH8210> out<MH8210> My wrath<MH2534> on <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>Sin<MH5512a>, <t><p class="indent1">The stronghold<MH4581> of Egypt<MH4714>; <t><p class="indent1">A cloud<MH6051> will cover<MH3680> her, <t><p class="indent1">And her daughters<MH1323> will go<MH1980> into captivity<MH7628b>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>“So I will execute<MH6213a> judgments<MH8201> on Egypt<MH4714>, <t><p class="indent1">And they will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>.”’” <p class="hdg">Victory for Babylon</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>In the eleventh<MH259, 6240> year<MH8141>, in the first<MH7223> <i>month,</i> on the seventh<MH7651> of the month<MH2320>, the word<MH1697> of the LORD<MH3068> came<MH1961> to me, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>“Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, I have broken<MH7665> the arm<MH2220> of Pharaoh<MH6547> king<MH4428> of Egypt<MH4714>; and, behold<MH2009>, it has not been bound<MH2280> up<MH2280> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[x]</a></span>for healing<MH7499> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[y]</a></span>or wrapped<MH2280> with a bandage<MH2848>, so that it may be strong<MH2388> to wield<MH8610> the sword<MH2719>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Therefore<MH3651> this<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: ‘Behold<MH2009>, I am against<MH413> Pharaoh<MH6547> king<MH4428> of Egypt<MH4714>, and I will break<MH7665> his arms<MH2220>, both the strong<MH2389> and the broken<MH7665>; and I will make the sword<MH2719> fall<MH5307> from his hand<MH3027>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>And I will scatter<MH6327a> the Egyptians<MH4714> among the nations<MH1471> and disperse<MH2219> them among the lands<MH776>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>For I will strengthen<MH2388> the arms<MH2220> of the king<MH4428> of Babylon<MH894> and put<MH5414> My sword<MH2719> in his hand<MH3027>; and I will break<MH7665> the arms<MH2220> of Pharaoh<MH6547>, so that he will groan<MH5008> before<MH6440> him with the groans<MH5009> of a wounded<MH2491a> man<MH2491a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/30-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>So I will strengthen<MH2388> the arms<MH2220> of the king<MH4428> of Babylon<MH894>, but the arms<MH2220> of Pharaoh<MH6547> will fail<MH5307>.
