She is experienced in the operation of Closed Material Proceedings under the Justice and Security Act 2013 and Part 80 proceedings under the Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Measures Act 2011. She has appeared before both the Investigatory Powers Tribunal and SIAC, as well as the High Court in TPIM proceedings. She is regularly instructed in cases concerning serious investigative failings, including those leading to death or serious injury, and has experience of claims under the HRA, the Equality Act, the Data Protection Act, misuse of private information, misfeasance and malicious prosecution. She acts both for the victims of crime and for those accused of involvement in criminal offences.
