For its numerical solution, a well conditioned quadratically convergent sine-Collocation method was developed, which yielded a linear system of equations with the diagonal blocks of its associated coefficient matrix being point diagonal. This structural property, among others, initiated interest for the employment of iterative methods for its solution. In this work we present a conclusive numerical study for the behavior of classical (Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel) and Krylov subspace (GMRES and Bi-CGSTAB) iterative methods when they are applied for the solution of the Dirichlet to Neumann map associated with the Laplace-s equation on regular polygons with the same boundary conditions on all edges. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Elliptic%20PDEs" title="Elliptic PDEs">Elliptic PDEs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Dirichlet%20to%20Neumann%20Map" title=" Dirichlet to Neumann Map"> Dirichlet to Neumann Map</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Global%20Relation" title=" Global Relation"> Global Relation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Collocation" title=" Collocation"> Collocation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Iterative%20Methods" title=" Iterative Methods"> Iterative Methods</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jacobi" title=" Jacobi"> Jacobi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Gauss-Seidel" title=" Gauss-Seidel"> Gauss-Seidel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=GMRES" title=" GMRES"> GMRES</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bi-CGSTAB." title=" Bi-CGSTAB."> Bi-CGSTAB.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/numerical-study-of-iterative-methods-for-the-solution-of-the-dirichlet-neumann-map-for-linear-elliptic-pdes-on-regular-polygon-domains" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14250.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1712</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1638</span> Region Segmentation based on Gaussian Dirichlet Process Mixture Model and its Application to 3D Geometric Stricture Detection</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jonghyun%20Park">Jonghyun Park</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Soonyoung%20Park"> Soonyoung Park</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sanggyun%20Kim"> Sanggyun Kim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wanhyun%20Cho"> Wanhyun Cho</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sunworl%20Kim"> Sunworl Kim</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In general, image-based 3D scenes can now be found in many popular vision systems, computer games and virtual reality tours. So, It is important to segment ROI (region of interest) from input scenes as a preprocessing step for geometric stricture detection in 3D scene. In this paper, we propose a method for segmenting ROI based on tensor voting and Dirichlet process mixture model. In particular, to estimate geometric structure information for 3D scene from a single outdoor image, we apply the tensor voting and Dirichlet process mixture model to a image segmentation. The tensor voting is used based on the fact that homogeneous region in an image are usually close together on a smooth region and therefore the tokens corresponding to centers of these regions have high saliency values. The proposed approach is a novel nonparametric Bayesian segmentation method using Gaussian Dirichlet process mixture model to automatically segment various natural scenes. Finally, our method can label regions of the input image into coarse categories: &ldquo;ground&quot;, &ldquo;sky&quot;, and &ldquo;vertical&quot; for 3D application. The experimental results show that our method successfully segments coarse regions in many complex natural scene images for 3D.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Region%20segmentation" title="Region segmentation">Region segmentation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=tensor%20voting" title=" tensor voting"> tensor voting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=image-based%203D" title=" image-based 3D"> image-based 3D</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=geometric%20structure" title=" geometric structure"> geometric structure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Gaussian%20Dirichlet%20process%20mixture%20model" title=" Gaussian Dirichlet process mixture model"> Gaussian Dirichlet process mixture model</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/region-segmentation-based-on-gaussian-dirichlet-process-mixture-model-and-its-application-to-3d-geometric-stricture-detection" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7008.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1891</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1637</span> Human Action Recognition Using Variational Bayesian HMM with Dirichlet Process Mixture of Gaussian Wishart Emission Model</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wanhyun%20Cho">Wanhyun Cho</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Soonja%20Kang"> Soonja Kang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sangkyoon%20Kim"> Sangkyoon Kim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Soonyoung%20Park"> Soonyoung Park</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In this paper, we present the human action recognition method using the variational Bayesian HMM with the Dirichlet process mixture (DPM) of the Gaussian-Wishart emission model (GWEM). The proposed model is applied to classify the synthetic multivariate dataset in order to verify the performance of our model. Experiment result shows that our model is more accurate than the other approximation methods. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Multinomial%20dirichlet%20classification%20model" title="Multinomial dirichlet classification model">Multinomial dirichlet classification model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Gaussian%0D%0Aprocess%20priors" title=" Gaussian process priors"> Gaussian process priors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=variational%20Bayesian%20approximation" title=" variational Bayesian approximation"> variational Bayesian approximation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Importance%0D%0Asampling" title=" Importance sampling"> Importance sampling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=approximate%20posterior%20distribution" title=" approximate posterior distribution"> approximate posterior distribution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Marginal%20likelihood%0D%0Aevidence." title=" Marginal likelihood evidence."> Marginal likelihood evidence.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/multinomial-dirichlet-gaussian-process-model-for-classification-of-multidimensional-data" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003081.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1615</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1635</span> Topic Modeling Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation and Latent Semantic Indexing on South African Telco Twitter Data</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Phumelele%20P.%20Kubheka">Phumelele P. Twitter can be considered a great source for mining text due to the high volumes of data generated through the platform daily. Many industries such as telecommunication companies can leverage the availability of Twitter data to better understand their markets and make an appropriate business decision. This study performs topic modeling on Twitter data using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). The obtained results are benchmarked with another topic modeling technique, Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI). The study aims to retrieve topics on a Twitter dataset containing user tweets on South African Telcos. Results from this study show that LSI is much faster than LDA. However, LDA yields better results with higher topic coherence by 8% for the best-performing model in this experiment. A higher topic coherence score indicates better performance of the model.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Big%20data" title="Big data">Big data</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=latent%20Dirichlet%20allocation" title=" latent Dirichlet allocation"> latent Dirichlet allocation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=latent%20semantic%20indexing" title=" latent semantic indexing"> latent semantic indexing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Telco" title=" Telco"> Telco</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=topic%20modeling" title=" topic modeling"> topic modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Twitter." title=" Twitter."> Twitter.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/topic-modeling-using-latent-dirichlet-allocation-and-latent-semantic-indexing-on-south-african-telco-twitter-data" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10012641.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">461</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1634</span> L1-Convergence of Modified Trigonometric Sums</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sandeep%20Kaur%20Chouhan">Sandeep Kaur Chouhan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jatinderdeep%20Kaur"> Jatinderdeep Kaur</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=S.%20S.%20Bhatia"> S. The move to 300 [mm] is accompanied by the use of Front Opening Unified Pods for wafer and his storage. In these pods an airborne cross contamination may occur between wafers and the pods. A predictive approach using modeling and computational methods is very powerful method to understand and qualify the AMCs cross contamination processes. This work investigates the required numerical tools which are employed in order to study the AMCs cross-contamination transfer phenomena between wafers and FOUPs. Numerical optimization and finite element formulation in transient analysis were established. Analytical solution of one dimensional problem was developed and the calibration process of physical constants was performed. The least square distance between the model (analytical 1D solution) and the experimental data are minimized. The behavior of the AMCs intransient analysis was determined. The model framework preserves the classical forms of the diffusion and convection-diffusion equations and yields to consistent form of the Fick&#39;s law. The adsorption process and the surface roughness effect were also traduced as a boundary condition using the switch condition Dirichlet to Neumann and the interface condition. The methodology is applied, first using the optimization methods with analytical solution to define physical constants, and second using finite element method including adsorption kinetic and the switch of Dirichlet to Neumann condition.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=AMCs" title="AMCs">AMCs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=FOUP" title=" FOUP"> FOUP</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=cross-contamination" title=" cross-contamination"> cross-contamination</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=adsorption" title=" adsorption"> adsorption</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=diffusion" title=" diffusion"> diffusion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=numerical%20analysis" title=" numerical analysis"> numerical analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=wafers" title=" wafers"> wafers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Dirichlet%20to%20Neumann" title=" Dirichlet to Neumann"> Dirichlet to Neumann</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=finite%0D%0Aelements%20methods" title=" finite elements methods"> finite elements methods</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Fick%E2%80%99s%20law" title=" Fick’s law"> Fick’s law</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=optimization." title=" optimization."> optimization.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/mathematical-modeling-of-the-amcs-cross-contamination-removal-in-the-foups-finite-element-formulation-and-application-in-foups-decontamination" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9998099.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3176</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1632</span> Text Mining of Twitter Data Using a Latent Dirichlet Allocation Topic Model and Sentiment Analysis</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sidi%20Yang">Sidi Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Haiyi%20Zhang"> Haiyi Zhang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Twitter is a microblogging platform, where millions of users daily share their attitudes, views, and opinions. Using a probabilistic Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic model to discern the most popular topics in the Twitter data is an effective way to analyze a large set of tweets to find a set of topics in a computationally efficient manner. Sentiment analysis provides an effective method to show the emotions and sentiments found in each tweet and an efficient way to summarize the results in a manner that is clearly understood. The primary goal of this paper is to explore text mining, extract and analyze useful information from unstructured text using two approaches: LDA topic modelling and sentiment analysis by examining Twitter plain text data in English. These two methods allow people to dig data more effectively and efficiently. Lane-Emden equation&nbsp;has been widely used to describe a variety of phenomena in&nbsp;physics and astrophysics, including aspects of stellar structure, the&nbsp;thermal history of a spherical cloud of gas, isothermal gas spheres,and&nbsp;thermionic currents. However, ordinary Lane-Emden equation does&nbsp;not provide the correct description of the dynamics for systems in&nbsp;complex media. In order to overcome this problem and describe&nbsp;dynamical processes in a fractalmedium, numerous generalizations of&nbsp;Lane-Emden equation have been proposed. One such generalization&nbsp;replaces the ordinary derivative by a fractional derivative in the&nbsp;Lane-Emden equation. This gives rise to the fractional Lane-Emden&nbsp;equation with a single index. Recently, a new type of Lane-Emden&nbsp;equation with two different fractional orders has been introduced&nbsp;which provides a more flexible model for fractal processes as&nbsp;compared with the usual one characterized by a single index. The governing equations are formulated in terms of the stream function &psi;&nbsp;(x,y)and the function &phi; (x,y)as independent variables where for irrotational flow &phi; (x,y)can be recognized as the velocity potential function, for rotational flow &phi; (x,y)ceases being the velocity potential function but does remain orthogonal to the stream lines. A numerical method based on the finite difference scheme on a uniform mesh is employed. The technique described is capable of tackling the so-called inverse problem where the velocity wall distributions are prescribed from which the duct wall shape is calculated, as well as the direct problem where the velocity distribution on the duct walls are calculated from prescribed duct geometries. The two different cases as outlined in this paper are in fact boundary value problems with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions respectively. Even though both approaches are discussed, only numerical results for the case of the Dirichlet boundary conditions are given. A downstream condition is prescribed such that cylindrical flow, that is flow which is independent of the axial coordinate, exists.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Inverse%20problem" title="Inverse problem">Inverse problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=irrotational%20incompressible%20flow" title=" irrotational incompressible flow"> irrotational incompressible flow</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Boundary%20value%20problem." title=" Boundary value problem."> Boundary value problem.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/the-design-of-axisymmetric-ducts-for-incompressible-flow-with-a-parabolic-axial-velocity-inlet-profile" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/14125.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1643</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1629</span> Mining User-Generated Contents to Detect Service Failures with Topic Model</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kyung%20Bae%20Park">Kyung Bae Park</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sung%20Ho%20Ha"> Sung Ho Ha</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Online user-generated contents (UGC) significantly change the way customers behave (e.g., shop, travel), and a pressing need to handle the overwhelmingly plethora amount of various UGC is one of the paramount issues for management. However, a current approach (e.g., sentiment analysis) is often ineffective for leveraging textual information to detect the problems or issues that a certain management suffers from. In this paper, we employ text mining of Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) on a popular online review site dedicated to complaint from users. We find that the employed LDA efficiently detects customer complaints, and a further inspection with the visualization technique is effective to categorize the problems or issues. As such, management can identify the issues at stake and prioritize them accordingly in a timely manner given the limited amount of resources. The findings provide managerial insights into how analytics on social media can help maintain and improve their reputation management. Our interdisciplinary approach also highlights several insights by applying machine learning techniques in marketing research domain. On a broader technical note, this paper illustrates the details of how to implement LDA in R program from a beginning (data collection in R) to an end (LDA analysis in R) since the instruction is still largely undocumented. In this regard, it will help lower the boundary for interdisciplinary researcher to conduct related research. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Latent%20Dirichlet%20allocation" title="Latent Dirichlet allocation">Latent Dirichlet allocation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=R%20program" title=" R program"> R program</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=text%20mining" title=" text mining"> text mining</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=topic%20model" title=" topic model"> topic model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=user%20generated%20contents" title=" user generated contents"> user generated contents</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=visualization." title=" visualization. One important requirement for this type of system is the management and computation of the Quality of Service(QoS) of processes and workflows. Currently, a range of Web processes and workflow languages exist. Each language can be characterized by the set of patterns they support. Developing andimplementing a suitable and generic algorithm to compute the QoSof processes that have been designed using different languages is a difficult task. This is because some patterns are specific to particular process languages and new patterns may be introduced in future versions of a language. In this paper, we describe an adaptive algorithm implemented to cope with these two problems. The algorithm is called adaptive since it can be dynamically changed as the patterns of a process language also change.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=quality%20of%20service" title="quality of service">quality of service</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=web%20processes" title=" web processes"> web processes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=workflows" title=" workflows"> workflows</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=web%20services" title=" web services"> web services</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/adaptive-algorithm-to-predict-the-qos-of-web-processes-and-workflows" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/15066.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2013</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1624</span> Importance of Knowledge in the Interdisciplinary Production Processes of Innovative Medical Tools</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Katarzyna%20Mleczko">Katarzyna Mleczko</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Processes of production of innovative medical tools have interdisciplinary character. The student is a learner in French as a Second Language who studies an on-line socio-cognitive scenario in written communication. In our method, these cognitive processes are defined. For that, the language abilities and learning tasks are associated to cognitive operation. Moreover, the found cognitive processes are named with specific terms. The result was to create an instrumental pattern to question the learner about the cognitive processes used to build an item of written comprehension. Our research follows the principles of the third historical generation of studies on the cognitive activity of the text comprehension. The strength of our instrumental pattern stands in the precision and the logical articulation of the questions to the learner. However, the learner-s answers can still be subjective but the precision of the instrument restricts it. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cognitive%20processes" title="Cognitive processes">Cognitive processes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Evaluation%20pattern" title=" Evaluation pattern"> Evaluation pattern</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=French%20as%20asecond%20language" title=" French as asecond language"> French as asecond language</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Socio-cognitive%20scenario" title=" Socio-cognitive scenario"> Socio-cognitive scenario</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Written%20comprehension." title=" Written comprehension."> Written comprehension.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/evaluation-pattern-of-cognitive-processes-in-language-in-written-comprehension" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5518.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1491</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1620</span> Study on the Influence of Physical Effort on the Mental Processes of Preteen Students</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Constantin%20Pehoiu">Constantin Pehoiu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cristian%20Savu"> Cristian Savu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Silviu%20Badea"> Silviu Badea</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cristian%20Borida"> Cristian Borida</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The physiological effects of physical exercise on human body are relatively well known in literature, which describes in detail the changes that occur in the cardiovascular system, the respiratory one, in bones and other systems, both during exercise and after its delivery. However, the effects of exercise on mental processes are less treated. From the literature reviews discussed in this study, it can be detached the idea that we can not exactly say that physical exercise has beneficial effects on mental processes, but neither that it would have potentially negative effects. This uncertainty, reflected in the inability to indicate precise and unequivocal meaning, favorable-unfavorable physical effort in acting on mental processes, is a prime reason to undertake a study of the phenomenon influence effort administered physical education classes on the dynamics of mental processes like attention and memory. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=management" title="management">management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=exercise" title=" exercise"> exercise</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=mental%20process" title=" mental process"> mental process</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=lesson." title=" lesson."> lesson.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/study-on-the-influence-of-physical-effort-on-the-mental-processes-of-preteen-students" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12352.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1667</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1619</span> Coefficients of Some Double Trigonometric Cosine and Sine Series</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jatinderdeep%20Kaur">Jatinderdeep Kaur</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, the results of Kano from one dimensional cosine and sine series are extended to two dimensional cosine and sine series. Outsourcing business processes to the cloud becomes popular due to a wide varsity of benefits and cost-saving. However, cloud outsourcing raises enterprise data security concerns, which must be incorporated in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). This paper, presents SeCloudBPMN, a lightweight extension for BPMN which extends the BPMN to explicitly support the security threats in the cloud as an outsourcing environment. SeCloudBPMN helps business&rsquo;s security experts to outsource business processes to the cloud considering different threats from inside and outside the cloud. In this way, appropriate security countermeasures could be considered to preserve data security in business processes outsourcing to the cloud. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=BPMN" title="BPMN">BPMN</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=security%20threats" title=" security threats"> security threats</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=cloud%20computing" title=" cloud computing"> cloud computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=graphical%0D%0Arepresentation." title=" graphical representation."> graphical representation.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/secloudbpmn-a-lightweight-extension-for-bpmn-considering-security-threats-in-the-cloud" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009446.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">781</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1615</span> Practical Application of Simulation of Business Processes</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mark%C3%A9ta%20Gregu%C5%A1ov%C3%A1">Markéta Gregušová</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Vladim%C3%ADra%20Schindlerov%C3%A1"> Vladimíra Schindlerová</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ivana%20%C5%A0ajdlerov%C3%A1"> Ivana Šajdlerová</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Petr%20Mohyla"> Petr Mohyla</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jan%20Kedro%C5%88"> Jan Kedroň</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Company managers are always looking for more and more opportunities to succeed in today&#39;s fiercely competitive market. To maintain your place among the successful companies on the market today or to come up with a revolutionary business idea is much more difficult than before. Each new or improved method, tool, or approach that can improve the functioning of business processes or even of the entire system is worth checking and verification. The use of simulation in the design of manufacturing systems and their management in practice is one of the ways without increased risk, which makes it possible to find the optimal parameters of manufacturing processes and systems. Due to the relation amid the variables (interaction), delay in the loops, it is very intricate to design a controller directly for these processes. So first, the interaction of the variables is analyzed using Relative Normalized Gain Array (RNGA), which considers the time constant, static gain and delay time of the processes. Based on the effect of RNGA, relative gain array (RGA) and NI, the pair (control configuration) of variables to be controlled by decentralized control is selected. The equivalent transfer function (ETF) of the process model is estimated as first order process with delay using the corresponding elements in the Relative gain array and Relative average residence time array (RARTA) of the processes. Secondly, a decentralized Proportional- Integral (PI) controller is designed for each ETF simply using frequency response specifications. Finally, the performance and robustness of the algorithm is comparing with existing related approaches to validate the effectiveness of the projected algorithm.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Decentralized%20control" title="Decentralized control">Decentralized control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=interaction" title=" interaction"> interaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Multivariable%20processes" title=" Multivariable processes"> Multivariable processes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=relative%20normalized%20gain%20array" title=" relative normalized gain array"> relative normalized gain array</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=relative%20average%20residence%20time%20array" title=" relative average residence time array"> relative average residence time array</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=steady%20state%20gain." title=" steady state gain."> steady state gain.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/control-configuration-selection-and-controller-design-for-multivariable-processes-using-normalized-gain" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000195.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2318</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1613</span> Grid Computing for the Bi-CGSTAB Applied to the Solution of the Modified Helmholtz Equation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=E.%20N.%20Mathioudakis">E. They give rise to a variety of important phenomena in quantum mechanics, nonlinear optics, astrophysics, etc because they have rich multiple solutions. But the nontrivial solutions of semilinear equations are hard to be solved for the lack of stabilities, such as Lane-Emden equation, Henon equation and Chandrasekhar equation. In this paper, bifurcation method is applied to solving semilinear elliptic equations which are with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions in 2D. Using this method, nontrivial numerical solutions will be computed and visualized in many different domains (such as square, disk, annulus, dumbbell, etc).</p> <p
