I have nothing else to add.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Everything else. The transition from our old company was terrible. They did not move over data separated by category (regular pay, overtime, personal time, etc..) everything was lumped into regular pay thus when needing to complete VOE\'s for employees you can\'t decipher how much overtime, bonus, vacation, etc. they had. Their PTO breakout lacks. They paid quarterly taxes upon the takeover which they were instructed not to do, so our taxes were paid double. When errors are made and I ask for a supervisor, they tell me they won\'t have anyone call me. Their company doesn\'t work that way. You complain to customer service and they promise to funnel up your complaint. They don\'t have a way in their system to put an employee on temporary hold while on maternity leave. You have to terminate them or you continue to pay fees for them whether or not your process any pay for them. Their system tracks PTO, but if someone enters more time off than they have, the Gusto system pays them anyway and allows them to go into negative PTO hours. You can\'t input the correct employee dismissal date if you plan to give them a final paycheck in two weeks. The dismissal date must be after the last paycheck. New PTO hours given each January 1st don\'t show up on the Jan 15th paystub due to a glitch Gusto has in their system if your payroll beginning date is say Dec 29th of the prior year. It\'s just one thing after another. I was able to set up payroll very quickly. Also, when I had a problem with the edit feature, their phone support agent helped me out promptly and I could get the job done easily. This is especially true for a small-time business owner like me. However, with Gusto by my side, I can rest easy in the knowledge that all the necessary transactions are being handled efficiently. Providing health and other benefits to my employees are so much easier with this tool too. I can easily back-up their benefits to their 401k without much trouble.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> There are just some nuances that I’d prefer not to encounter when I use Gusto. One such nuance is the regular pop-ups on the main page. I’d prefer to be able to use a different account to settle bills for the company too, not just depend on the account used for payroll. The vendor could make customer support more accessible. But their phone agents are very professional. The good thing is Gusto focuses on constantly improving its features and it makes our payroll processes easy to manage. Finally, its integration with Zenefits is very useful.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Gusto is ideal for direct deposit payment. It is not suitable if you have to pay checks to a lot of employees as it lacks a print/delivery option. I have nothing else to add.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Everything else. The transition from our old company was terrible. They did not move over data separated by category (regular pay, overtime, personal time, etc..) everything was lumped into regular pay thus when needing to complete VOE\'s for employees you can\'t decipher how much overtime, bonus, vacation, etc. they had. Their PTO breakout lacks. They paid quarterly taxes upon the takeover which they were instructed not to do, so our taxes were paid double. When errors are made and I ask for a supervisor, they tell me they won\'t have anyone call me. Their company doesn\'t work that way. You complain to customer service and they promise to funnel up your complaint. They don\'t have a way in their system to put an employee on temporary hold while on maternity leave. You have to terminate them or you continue to pay fees for them whether or not your process any pay for them. Their system tracks PTO, but if someone enters more time off than they have, the Gusto system pays them anyway and allows them to go into negative PTO hours. You can\'t input the correct employee dismissal date if you plan to give them a final paycheck in two weeks. The dismissal date must be after the last paycheck. New PTO hours given each January 1st don\'t show up on the Jan 15th paystub due to a glitch Gusto has in their system if your payroll beginning date is say Dec 29th of the prior year. It\'s just one thing after another. With it, I can get a full view of my payment history without having to comb through records because of its clean and highly navigable user interface. They have well laid out options too and I find this advantageous because I like to download a record of my wages just in case I need them on my device. And when it comes to security, Gusto does not scrimp. It uses a two-factor authentication method that protects my account from unauthorized logins.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I absolutely have no complaints about Gusto seeing that they have a wonderful interface. (4 business days) specially when you input all information in for them. They also have the WORST customer service. Usually you would be treated with entitled and rude reps who keep wanting to tell you that there is nothing wrong with their platform. Really I mean there is nothing that is valuable about this company or service. Slow payment processing, When they do pay your employees they get it wrong or pay them on the wrong day. Try calling "customer support" and they will always say it is the customers fault. Never their fault and will continue to make a point of why they are right and the customer is wrong!</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Slow payment processing. Horrible, disrespectful and rude customer support. I was closing my account as my business is quite small and I no longer needed to run payroll. When they sent me an email to go over next steps, they sent an email to myself and the owner of ANOTHER business who was also looking to close her account. The email started with Dear Zack and (other owner's name), and any replies from either one of us got CC'd to the other. After myself and this other owner called them out on it, they stopped responding to our emails. If they can't even keep emails separate and secure, how can I trust them with bank accounts, social security numbers, and tax information? Unlike the millennials, I am not that tech savvy as I belong to an older generation. Therefore, I appreciate the fact that I can talk to a real person on the phone to get my issues across. Gusto’s phone support is very good and I prefer this channel to online chat which is hard for me to use. Gusto’s phone agents are high quality and they resolve my problems quickly. This app and their service team help me manage payroll and taxes easily. It notifies staff members about their salary credit. The vendor’s online chat support is simply superb as they resolve my issues quickly. This app has helped to simplify our payroll operations and we are also able to save a lot of time. Last, but not the least, the pricing plans are very affordable.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The vendor could have done the implementation in a better way. They could have provided a detailed timeline of what they were going to do. Plus, they could have clarified what input I needed to give. When I emailed support, they ignored my email even though we have been a paying customer for years. The same features that I was paying $4/mo/person for is now $12/mo/person. Since all employee data is tied into this system, it is a nightmare to switch, and they know it which is why they don't grandfather you in like most ethical companies do. Recently they failed to pay unemployment taxes in Texas on time leading to penalties for all of their Texas based businesses. Support can take days to respond if they respond at all. With their help, we are able to manage all our payroll tasks effortlessly.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I am not sure I can blame this issue on Gusto. I use Xero for accounting and it is a drawback that I cannot match the payroll deductions in Gusto with the pertinent fields in Xero. Previously, we were using Paychex and it was a lot off hassle working with them. I used to miss deadlines and was struggling to get work done. Gusto is a big improvement as it makes my work enjoyable. I can depend on the app to do things right and on schedule.
