Plans for the Courtyard<td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="btext2">You shall make it hollow, with boards. As it has been shown you on the mountain, so shall it be made.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="btext1">“Then make the courtyard for the Tabernacle, enclosed with curtains made of finely woven linen. On the south side, make the curtains 150 feet long.<td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="btext2">“You shall make the court of the tabernacle. The curtain on the right side will be 22 1/2 feet long, supported by three posts set into three bases.<td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="btext2">The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and three bases.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="btext1">The curtain on the left side will also be 22 1/2 feet long, supported by three posts set into three bases.<td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="btext2">On the other side the hangings shall be fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and three bases.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="btext1">“For the entrance to the courtyard, make a curtain that is 30 feet long. Make it from finely woven linen, and decorate it with beautiful embroidery in blue, purple, and scarlet thread. Support it with four posts, each securely set in its own base.<td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="btext2">For the gate of the court there shall be a screen twenty cubits long, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework. It shall have four pillars and with them four bases.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="btext1">All the posts around the courtyard must have silver rings and hooks and bronze bases.<td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="btext2">All the pillars around the court shall be filleted with silver. Light for the Tabernacle<td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="btext2">All the utensils of the tabernacle for every use, and all its pegs and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="btext1">“Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.<td width="50%" class="even" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="btext2">“You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may regularly be set up to burn.</span></td></tr></table> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center"><tr><td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="btext1">The lampstand will stand in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the LORD’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for the people of Israel, and it must be observed from generation to generation.<td width="50%" class="odd" valign="top"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/27-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="btext2">In the tent of meeting, outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the LORD.
