As the food chemistry subject deals with the chemical aspects of food (human and animal food), it covers the chemicals used to produce food, reactions due to the mixing of multiple ingredients during manufacture, Storage of food in different types of containers. The basic focus should also be to maintain a sufficient amount of micronutrients (vitamins, minerals) and macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) in packaged and processed food.
