Children are given cameras and asked to take photos reflecting their dreams in life. This sprawling ranch of vineyards and memorabilia is heaven for car enthusiasts, oenophiles, history buffs and peace-loving picnickers. Begun in 1979 by patriarch Bob Knapp and wife, Lila, the car collection is almost all-American, beginning with the 1890s. But the core of the collection is convertibles from the 1940s through about 1983. There are about 120 cars on the grounds. And with the cars is a trove of supporting automobilia. And in all the museums there are elaborate displays of Americana, from radios and televisions, to Barbies, Elvis, Playboy and even a Crosley car with Crosley appliances.
