<t><p class="indent1">Tyre<MH6865> and Sidon<MH6721>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>though<MH3588> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>they are<MH2449> very<MH3966> wise<MH2449>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>For Tyre<MH6865> built<MH1129> herself a fortress<MH4692>, <t><p class="indent1">And piled<MH6651> up<MH6651> silver<MH3701> like dust<MH6083>, <t><p class="indent1">And gold<MH2742d> like the mud<MH2916> of the streets<MH2351>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Behold<MH2009>, the Lord<MH136> will dispossess<MH3423> her <t><p class="indent1">And throw<MH5221> her wealth<MH2428> into the sea<MH3220>; <t><p class="indent1">And she will be consumed<MH398> with fire<MH784>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Ashkelon<MH831> will see<MH7200> <i>it</i> and be<MH3372a> afraid<MH3372a>. <t><p class="indent1">Gaza<MH5804a> too will writhe<MH2342a> in<MH2342a> great<MH3966> pain<MH2342a>; <t><p class="indent1">Also Ekron<MH6138>, because<MH3588> her hope<MH4007> has been ruined<MH954>. <t><p class="indent1">Moreover, the king<MH4428> will perish<MH6> from Gaza<MH5804a>, <t><p class="indent1">And Ashkelon<MH831> will not be inhabited<MH3427>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>And <i>a people of</i> mixed<MH4464> origins<MH4464> will live<MH3427> in Ashdod<MH795>, <t><p class="indent1">And I will eliminate<MH3772> the pride<MH1347b> of the Philistines<MH6430>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And I will remove<MH5493> their blood<MH1818> from their mouth<MH6310> <t><p class="indent1">And their detestable<MH8251> things<MH8251> from between<MH996> their teeth<MH8127>. <t><p class="indent1">Then they also<MH1571> will be<MH7604> a<MH7604> remnant<MH7604> for our God<MH430>, <t><p class="indent1">And be like a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>clan<MH505> in Judah<MH3063>, <t><p class="indent1">And Ekron<MH6138> <i>will be</i> like a Jebusite<MH2983>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zechariah/9-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>But I will camp<MH2583> around My house<MH1004> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>because<MH4480> of an army<MH4675>, <t><p class="indent1">Because<MH4480> of him who passes<MH5674a> by<MH5674a> and returns<MH7725>;
