Different kernel features are proposed to classify adult videos. SVM has an advantage that it is insensitive to the relative number of training example in positive (adult video) and negative (non adult video) classes. This advantage is illustrated by comparing performance between different SVM kernels for the identification of adult video. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Skin%20detection" title="Skin detection">Skin detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Support%20vector%20machine" title=" Support vector machine"> Support vector machine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Pornographic%20videos" title=" Pornographic videos"> Pornographic videos</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Feature%20extraction" title=" Feature extraction"> Feature extraction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Video%20filtering" title=" Video filtering"> Video filtering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Classification." title=" Classification."> Classification.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/comparison-of-performance-between-different-svm-kernels-for-the-identification-of-adult-video" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13745.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2306</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">16</span> Hybrid Color-Texture Space for Image Classification</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hassan%20El%20Maia">Hassan El Maia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ahmed%20Hammouch"> Ahmed Hammouch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Driss%20Aboutajdine"> Driss Aboutajdine</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>This work presents an approach for the construction of a hybrid color-texture space by using mutual information. To recover original signals, from linear instantaneous mixtures, we propose a new contrast function based on the use of a double referenced system. Our approach assumes statistical independence sources. The reference vectors will be incrusted in the cumulant to evaluate the independence. The estimation of the separating matrix will be performed in two steps: whitening observations and joint diagonalization of a set of referenced cumulant matrices. It focuses on the fact that if only noise above the masking threshold is filtered, then noise below the masking threshold, but above the absolute threshold of hearing, can become audible after the masker filtering. This particular drawback of some perceptual filters, hereafter called the maskee-to-audible-noise (MAN) phenomenon, favours the emergence of isolated tonals that increase musical noise. Two filtering techniques that avoid or correct the MAN phenomenon are proposed to effectively suppress background noise without introducing much distortion. Experimental results, including objective and subjective measurements, show that these techniques improve the enhanced speech quality and the gain they bring emphasizes the importance of the MAN phenomenon. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Perceptual%20speech%20filtering" title="Perceptual speech filtering">Perceptual speech filtering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=maskee%20to%20audible%20noise" title=" maskee to audible noise"> maskee to audible noise</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=distorsion" title="distorsion">distorsion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=musical%20noise." title=" musical noise."> musical noise.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/from-maskee-to-audible-noise-in-perceptual-speech-enhancement" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10552.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1492</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">11</span> Local Steerable Pyramid Binary Pattern Sequence LSPBPS for Face Recognition Method</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohamed%20El%20Aroussi">Mohamed El Aroussi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammed%20El%20Hassouni"> Mohammed El Hassouni</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sanaa%20Ghouzali"> Sanaa Ghouzali</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammed%20Rziza"> Mohammed Rziza</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Driss%20Aboutajdine"> Driss Aboutajdine</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In this paper the problem of face recognition under variable illumination conditions is considered. Therefore, a communication protocol named LEACH (Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is modified. We extend LEACHs stochastic cluster-head selection algorithm by a modifying the probability of each node to become cluster-head based on its required energy to transmit to the sink. We present an efficient energy aware routing algorithm for the wireless sensor networks. Our contribution consists in rotation selection of clusterheads considering the remoteness of the nodes to the sink, and then, the network nodes residual energy. This choice allows a best distribution of the transmission energy in the network. The cluster-heads selection algorithm is completely decentralized. Simulation results show that the energy is significantly reduced compared with the previous clustering based routing algorithm for the sensor networks. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wireless%20Sensor%20Networks" title="Wireless Sensor Networks">Wireless Sensor Networks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Energy%20efficiency" title=" Energy efficiency"> Energy efficiency</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=WirelessCommunications" title=" WirelessCommunications"> WirelessCommunications</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Clustering-based%20algorithm." title=" Clustering-based algorithm."> Clustering-based algorithm.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/a-balanced-cost-cluster-heads-selection-algorithm-for-wireless-sensor-networks" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8896.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2646</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8</span> Input Textural Feature Selection By Mutual Information For Multispectral Image Classification</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mounir%20Ait%20kerroum">Mounir Ait kerroum</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ahmed%20Hammouch"> Ahmed Hammouch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Driss%20Aboutajdine"> Driss Aboutajdine</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Texture information plays increasingly an important role in remotely sensed imagery classification and many pattern recognition applications. However, the selection of relevant textural features to improve this classification accuracy is not a straightforward task. This work investigates the effectiveness of two Mutual Information Feature Selector (MIFS) algorithms to select salient textural features that contain highly discriminatory information for multispectral imagery classification. The input candidate features are extracted from a SPOT High Resolution Visible(HRV) image using Wavelet Transform (WT) at levels (l = 1,2). The experimental results show that the selected textural features according to MIFS algorithms make the largest contribution to improve the classification accuracy than classical approaches such as Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Feature%20Selection" title="Feature Selection">Feature Selection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Texture" title=" Texture"> Texture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mutual%20Information" title=" Mutual Information"> Mutual Information</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wavelet%20Transform" title="Wavelet Transform">Wavelet Transform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=SVM%20classification" title=" SVM classification"> SVM classification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=SPOT%20Imagery." title=" SPOT Imagery."> SPOT Imagery.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/input-textural-feature-selection-by-mutual-information-for-multispectral-image-classification" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10231.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1554</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7</span> Local Curvelet Based Classification Using Linear Discriminant Analysis for Face Recognition</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammed%20Rziza">Mohammed Rziza</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohamed%20El%20Aroussi"> Mohamed El Aroussi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammed%20El%20Hassouni"> Mohammed El Hassouni</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sanaa%20Ghouzali"> Sanaa Ghouzali</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Driss%20Aboutajdine"> Driss Aboutajdine</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, an efficient local appearance feature extraction method based the multi-resolution Curvelet transform is proposed in order to further enhance the performance of the well known Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA) method when applied to face recognition. Each face is described by a subset of band filtered images containing block-based Curvelet coefficients. These coefficients characterize the face texture and a set of simple statistical measures allows us to form compact and meaningful feature vectors. The proposed method is compared with some related feature extraction methods such as Principal component analysis (PCA), as well as Linear Discriminant Analysis LDA, and independent component Analysis (ICA). Two different muti-resolution transforms, Wavelet (DWT) and Contourlet, were also compared against the Block Based Curvelet-LDA algorithm. Experimental results on ORL, YALE and FERET face databases convince us that the proposed method provides a better representation of the class information and obtains much higher recognition accuracies. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Curvelet" title="Curvelet">Curvelet</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Linear%20Discriminant%20Analysis%20%28LDA%29" title=" Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) "> Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Contourlet" title=" Contourlet"> Contourlet</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Discreet%20Wavelet%20Transform" title="Discreet Wavelet Transform">Discreet Wavelet Transform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=DWT" title=" DWT"> DWT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Block-based%20analysis" title=" Block-based analysis"> Block-based analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=face%20recognition%20%28FR%29." title="face recognition (FR).">face recognition (FR).</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/local-curvelet-based-classification-using-linear-discriminant-analysis-for-face-recognition" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6439.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1808</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6</span> Video Quality assessment Measure with a Neural Network</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=H.%20El%20Khattabi">H. Vector quantization of the speech spectral information reduces drastically the number of the secret speech parameters to be embedded in the cover signal. Compared to scalar hiding, vector quantization hiding technique provides a stego signal that is indistinguishable from the cover speech. The objective and subjective performance measures reveal that the current hiding technique attracts no suspicion about the presence of the secret message in the stego speech, while being able to recover an intelligible copy of the secret message at the receiver side. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Speech%20steganography" title="Speech steganography">Speech steganography</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=LSF%20vector%20quantization" title=" LSF vector quantization"> LSF vector quantization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=fast%0AFourier%20transform" title=" fast Fourier transform"> fast Fourier transform</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/narrowband-speech-hiding-using-vector-quantization" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12059.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1515</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">3</span> Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Control of Induction Motor</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Allouche%20Moez">Allouche Moez</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Souissi%20Mansour"> Souissi Mansour</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Chaabane%20Mohamed"> Chaabane Mohamed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Driss"> Mehdi Driss</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>This paper deals with the synthesis of fuzzy state feedback controller of induction motor with optimal performance. An ANN algorithm was developed to establish a forward/reverse correspondence between the latitude, longitude, altitude and monthly solar irradiation. For this purpose the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) data of eight Djibouti sites were used as training and testing in a standard three layers network with the back propagation algorithm of Lavenber-Marquardt. Results have shown a very good agreement for the solar irradiation prediction in Djibouti and proves that the proposed approach can be well used as an efficient tool for prediction of solar irradiation by providing so helpful information concerning sites selection, design and planning of solar plants. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
