Our support spans all founder needs, from fundraising to high-growth to leadership and personal skills, and it continues throughout your journey as a founder in our portfolio.</span></div> </div> <div class="faq"> <div class="question">Is there a cost to your support?</div> <div class="answer">No. We used to offer an equity-for-services model in our previous fund (FFA1) but that is no longer the case. <strong>Our model now enables us to make our support entirely free</strong>, where any of our 50+ venture specialists are involved. At later stages of your journey, we may recommend or introduce you to external consultants or agencies (we call these "plug-ins"), to support your stage or a specific challenge - in these cases, this engagement may have a cost, but these are discussed with you upfront and are always optional.</div> </div> <div class="faq"> <div class="question">Can I, as a founder, choose the kind of support I want?</div> <div class="answer">Yes! As the founder, you are in the driving seat when it comes to the the timing and nature of our support. We also give you feedback on where we believe support would create the greatest value for your business. We discuss this openly and once we all agree on a direction in which to offer support, we plan the activities that will benefit you the most, and constantly evaluate its impact on your business and whether adjustments should be made. We strongly believe that we only win together, and so it's very important to us to have your buy-in and alignment with us on best ways to support you.</div> </div> <div class="faq"> <div class="question">How long does support last?</div> <div class="answer">It depends. There are different ways in which we support. <ul> <li>If you are successful in applying for Gen F, the venture design support will last three months.</li> <li>If you are successful in joining our portfolio, the first experience you will have is called an "Immersion". This is a minimum of three months, but the time span varies depending on the challenges we agree to tackle together. Once an immersion is over, you have content and tools available to you for self-service support, and in your regular investor updates, you submit any asks you have of us.</li> <li>In some cases, we may initiate an "Intensive" where we get actively involved again, to help you with a growth spurt, an obstacle you are facing, or a pivot that is needed. If we recommend an Intensive, we will discuss what the best timing of this would be to make sure it aligns with where you are as a business, and timing is therefore variable.</li> <li>We are continuously looking for ways to add value and promote growth, and you can expect ongoing introductions to partners, investors or advisors, hosting you at an events, or helping with hiring and team support - these are always focused to give you maximum value as fast as possible.</li> <li>The bottom line is that whether you have been in our portfolio for three weeks, three months or three years and beyond, we are walking the journey with you and we are here to help, in perpetuity.</li> </ul></div> </div> <div class="faq"> <div class="question">What kind of support can I expect?</div> <div class="answer">We have a large team of venture specialists with deep experience of building startups in Africa.
