I was A heavy seller on half.com until back in june when ebay suspended my account for NO REASON and of course half.com followed. I had a selling account balance of 3033.55. I was told these fund would be held for 90 days and to contact on the 90th day so i would get a check. I contacted them on Sept 17th..weeks go by...not a response. <p>I reported to the BBB, all of a sudden , on oct 4th, i get a response to fax documentation(utility bill, license, blah) and that in 72 hours after doing so, they would respond. Its now OCT 21..NOTHING..I WANT MY *** **** MONEY</p><p><strong>Kressa of Davenport, IA October 19, 2010</strong><br/><p> Seller intentionally sent wrong book and I am supposed to bear the cost of return shipping, packaging, and transportation costs. I was unwilling to do that. <p> I will never use this business again for my purchases. There is little customer service and it is lousy at that. Do yourself a favor and do not try to get your money back from them. Do a charge back on your credit card or bank and file a dispute with them stating you did not receive the service that you paid for and your bank will act on your behalf. <p>This is how I got my refund. For all you people who are owed money. Keep proof of that and seek an attorney. WHen I went to look up, it said" Total Payment Status - Failed" I have emailed them 3x but only get a standard response that they wil get back to me.. they never do.</p><p><strong>Antonia of Vallejo, CA September 20, 2010</strong><br/><p> On August 16, 2010 I bought a book through Half.com, an ebay company. Once I received the book I realized that I would not longer need it. I contacted the seller and we agreed that once I returned the book I would receive a refund. I got a confirmation September 13, 2010 from the seller and Half.com that the book was received and the refund was given. After reviewing my bank account on September 15, 2010 I realized i still was not credited my refund. <p> So I called the Half.com number but there was no one I could speak with. So then I contacted ebay and spoke with a lady from their customer service who spoke with a rep from half.com that i would receive my refund by today, September 20, 2010. I do not want the situation to linger because from the reviews of the company it shows this is a reaccuring problem with them. Because they closed my account, they stated that they are holding my money for 90 days. Is that legal? I shipped the book in a secured envelope with a receipt that stated the weight and destination of the package. The buyer goes and claimed an empty package with half.com. Half called it investigation without asking me anything about it, and refunded the buyer the money. <p> Any buyer on half.com can buy a textbook and claim that he/she received an empty package, and can get a free book. BEWARE! There is no seller protection! So any book you sell on half is a free item and a loss to you!</p><p><strong>Crystal of Chelsea, MI February 16, 2010</strong><br/><p> Ordered textbooks for college courses. One of the books never arrived - it is now two weeks past when it should have. I have contacted the seller, who just said he mailed it and doesn't know what happened. (This seller was new to the site, and had no previous feedback - used this one because it was close - less than 65 miles away!) Supposedly, half.com lets you file a claim if an item is not received. Says that a "file claim" button will show up 48 hours after first email to seller. However, it has been more than 48 hours and the "button" won't show up. I cannot find any other way on this website to contact anyone. </p><p><strong>Valerie of Hillsboro, OR December 29, 2009</strong><br/><p> We sold thousands of books on Half.com. They closed our account for unknown reasons. They said we have to wait 90 days before they can release our money to us. It has been well over 90 days and still, they haven't released our monies. They requested several documents from us including driver's licenses, utility bills, etc. All of which we immediately faxed to them. They refuse do not return our emails.
