In doing so, we have applied the structural break unit root tests to examine stationarity properties of the variables. The Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing approach is used to test whether cointegration exists in presence of structural breaks stemming in the series. Our results indicate the cointegration among external debt, military spending, debt servicing, and economic growth. Moreover, military spending and debt servicing add in external debt. Economic growth helps in lowering external debt. The Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis and Granger causality test reveal that military spending and economic growth cause external debt. The feedback effect also exists between external debt and debt servicing in case of India. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=external%20debt" title="external debt">external debt</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=military%20spending" title=" military spending"> military spending</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ARDL%20approach" title=" ARDL approach"> ARDL approach</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=India" title=" India"> India</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/47057/usage-of-military-spending-debt-servicing-and-growth-for-dealing-with-emergency-plan-of-indian-external-debt" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/47057.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">295</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">5</span> Characterization of the Viscoelastic Behavior of Polymeric Composites</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abir%20Abdessalem">Abir Abdessalem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sahbi%20Tamboura"> Sahbi Tamboura</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=J.%20Fitoussi"> J. The measured data are generally shifted by the application of the principle of the time– temperature superposition (TTS) to obtain the viscoelastic system’s master curve. The aim of this work is to show the methodology to define the horizontal shift factor to be applied to the storage modulus measured in order to indicate the validity of (TTS) principle for this material system. This principle was successfully used to determine the long-term properties of the Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) composites. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=composite%20material" title="composite material">composite material</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dynamic%20mechanical%20analysis" title=" dynamic mechanical analysis"> dynamic mechanical analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SMC%20composites" title=" SMC composites"> SMC composites</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=viscoelastic%20behavior" title=" viscoelastic behavior"> viscoelastic behavior</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=modeling" title=" modeling"> modeling</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82761/characterization-of-the-viscoelastic-behavior-of-polymeric-composites" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82761.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">233</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4</span> Keyframe Extraction Using Face Quality Assessment and Convolution Neural Network</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rahma%20Abed">Rahma Abed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sahbi%20Bahroun"> Sahbi Bahroun</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ezzeddine%20Zagrouba"> Ezzeddine Zagrouba</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Due to the huge amount of data in videos, extracting the relevant frames became a necessity and an essential step prior to performing face recognition. In this context, we propose a method for extracting keyframes from videos based on face quality and deep learning for a face recognition task. This method has two steps. We start by generating face quality scores for each face image based on the use of three face feature extractors, including Gabor, LBP, and HOG. The second step consists in training a Deep Convolutional Neural Network in a supervised manner in order to select the frames that have the best face quality. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed method compared to the methods of the state of the art. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=keyframe%20extraction" title="keyframe extraction">keyframe extraction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=face%20quality%20assessment" title=" face quality assessment"> face quality assessment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=face%20in%20video%20recognition" title=" face in video recognition"> face in video recognition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=convolution%20neural%20network" title=" convolution neural network"> convolution neural network</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/111347/keyframe-extraction-using-face-quality-assessment-and-convolution-neural-network" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/111347.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">232</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">3</span> Gas Sweetening Process Simulation: Investigation on Recovering Waste Hydraulic Energy</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Meisam%20Moghadasi">Meisam Moghadasi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hassan%20Ali%20Ozgoli"> Hassan Ali Ozgoli</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Foad%20Farhani"> Foad Farhani</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this research, firstly, a commercial gas sweetening unit with methyl-di-ethanol-amine (MDEA) solution is simulated and comprised in an integrated model in accordance with Aspen HYSYS software. The classical Hough Transform (HT) presented a tool for detecting straight line segments in images. The technique of HT has been generalized (GHT) for the detection of arbitrary forms. With GHT, the forms sought are not necessarily defined analytically but rather by a particular silhouette. For more precision, we proposed to combine the results from the GHT with the results from a calculation of similarity between the histograms and the spatiograms of the images. The main purpose of our work is to use the concepts from recognition to generate sentences in Arabic that summarize the content of the image. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
