class="sub-title"></div> <hr class="u-hr"> <div class="event-content"> <div class="event-text pt-4"><p>In the context of the General Data Protection Regulation (<span style="text-decoration: underline;">RGPD</span>), and in addition to the <a href="https://www.uliege.be/cms/c_9266052/fr/protection-de-la-vie-privee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">general privacy protection measures applicable to the University of Liege</a>, ULiège Library draws your attention to the following elements :</p> <h2>Data controller:</h2> <p>The controller is the University of Liège, with its registered office at  Place du 20 Août, 7 in 4000 Liège (tel:+3243662111)</p> <h2>PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED:</h2> <p><em>Authors and users who are members of the university community and the CHU of Liège:</em> the personal data at our disposal are collected partly via the central databases of the Institution (surname, first name, ULiège/CHU identifier, e-mail address, previous and current professional affiliations) and partly via the document submission form (ORCID or SCOPUS identifier) or retrieved from databases external to the institution. </p> <p><em>Authors and users from outside the university community: </em>the personal data available to us (surname, first name, e-mail address, previous and current professional affiliations) are collected via the document deposit form filled in by a member of the university community when he/she encodes a bibliographic reference. </p> <h2>Purposes pursued</h2> <p>The data collected is processed for the purpose of managing the repository in order to provide the following services: permanent conservation of the scientific production of members of the university community, and the promotion and dissemination of the results of research carried out within the institution. No commercial purpose, to any extent, is pursued.</p> <h2>Legal basis of the processing:</h2> <p>The processing of data is part of the public interest mission pursued by ULiège, in accordance with the following regulations:<br />- art. 2, 2° (development, conservation and transmission of knowledge and scientific heritage) and 3° (service to the community) of the Decree of 7 November 2013 defining the higher education landscape and the academic organisation of studies;</p> <p>- Decree of 3 May 2018 aimed at establishing a policy of Open Access to scientific publications, in particular Article 6 (obligation to have or to be attached to an institutional digital archive enabling researchers who depend on it to fulfil their obligation to deposit).</p> <h2>Acces to data - transmission to third parties:</h2> <p>The data collected (with the exception of the email address, the ULiège identifier and the SCOPUS identifier) are accessible to the entire university community and, more generally, to everyone via the Internet. These data are accessible in a digital format allowing the export and reuse of metadata by third parties (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH)).</p> <h2>Retention period:</h2> <p>In view of the objective of long-term preservation of the University's scientific output, the data are kept indefinitely, as long as the data subject has not requested their removal.</p> <h2>Security measures:</h2> <p>ULiège Library takes appropriate and reasonable measures to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or accidental destruction of personal data. The data processed via ORBi is stored on the University's internal servers. The General IT Service (SEGI), in charge of these servers, is ISO 27001 certified (information security  - <a href="https://www.campus.uliege.be/cms/c_9106976/fr/certifications-du-segi">https://www.campus.uliege.be/cms/c_9106976/fr/certifications-du-segi</a>).</p> <h2>Cookies:</h2> <p>This site uses only technical cookies. In accordance with Art. 129, 1st of the Electronic Communications Act, these cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. However, anonymous information relating to the connection to the ORBI site (IP address, date and place of connection, referent, keywords used to carry out the search, number of connections, user-agent and actions carried out on the site) is collected by means of a script and used to produce site usage statistics.</p> <h2>Rights of the persons concerned:</h2> <p>Subject to the specific conditions provided for by the RGPD, any data subject has the right to request access to his/her personal data recorded in the ORBi repository, the rectification of data that are inaccurate or incomplete, the deletion of data, the limitation of their processing and their portability. Anyone wishing to do so may, after having duly identified themselves, exercise these rights by sending a request to the address orbi@uliege.be or, failing that, to the ULiège Data Protection Officer  (dpo@uliege.be – Monsieur le Délégué à la Protection des Données, Bât. B9 Cellule « GDPR », Quartier Village 3, Boulevard de Colonster 2, 4000 Liège, Belgique).
