For example, PDF reference lists might be used for printing or to upload to a learning management system.</p> <p>Exported PDF reference lists include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Your folder's title and description</li> <li>A hyperlinked title and thumbnail for each item that when clicked, opens directly to that content on JSTOR <ul> <li>Links for <a href="https://support.jstor.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007226454#save-image-detail">image detail views</a> will automatically zoom the image viewer to the saved view.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Tombstone metadata for each item (date, creator, and linked collection/book/journal)</li> </ul> <p><img src="/hc/article_attachments/8743095732375" alt="An example of an exported PDF reference list"></p> <p>To export a folder to PDF:</p> <ol> <li>Visit your Workspace folder and open the <strong>Export</strong> drop-down menu. <ul> <li>Items inside subfolders within the exported folder won't be included in the PDF. You can use these same steps to export additional folders separately.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Select <strong>Reference List to PDF</strong>. A progress bar will indicate that the download is processing. Completion time will vary depending on the size of the folder you're exporting.</li> <li>Depending on your browser's settings, the finished PDF file (.pdf) will either open in your browser where it can be downloaded, or it will be found in your downloads folder.</li> </ol> <h2 id="exportingtopowerpoint">Exporting images to PowerPoint</h2> <p>Exporting images in your Workspace to PowerPoint enables you to review, describe, manage, and add images for presentation in a visual format on- or offline. It can be a valuable tool for sharing, instruction, presentation, and studying with visual content.</p> <p>Exported PowerPoint presentations include the following:</p> <ul> <li>A title slide with the name of your folder and the folder's description in the speaker notes</li> <li>Slides for each image and <a href="https://support.jstor.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007226454#save-image-detail">image detail view</a> with item metadata and any notes you may have added in the speaker notes</li> </ul> <p><img src="/hc/article_attachments/7381185675287" alt="An example of an exported PowerPoint presentation"></p> <p>To export images in a folder to PowerPoint:</p> <ol> <li>Visit your Workspace folder and open the <strong>Export</strong> drop-down menu. <ul> <li>Non-image items in the exported folder won't be included in the PowerPoint file.</li> <li>Items inside subfolders within the exported folder won't be included in the PowerPoint file. You can use these steps to export additional folders separately.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Select <strong>Images to PowerPoint</strong>. A progress bar will indicate that the download is processing. Completion time will vary depending on the size of the folder you're exporting.</li> <li>The finished PowerPoint file (.pptx) can be found in your downloads folder.</li> </ol> <h2 id="exportingtozip">Exporting images to ZIP</h2> <p>Exporting images in your Workspace to a compressed ZIP file is one way of making them available for use offline. For example, you can download multiple images at once for creating teaching materials.</p> <p>Exported ZIP files include the following:</p> <ul> <li>A 1920px-resolution JPG file (.jpg) for each image and <a href="https://support.jstor.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007226454#save-image-detail">image detail</a> </li> <li>An HTML file (.html) for each item containing image metadata and a thumbnail image</li> </ul> <p>To export a folder to ZIP:</p> <ol> <li>Visit your Workspace folder and open the <strong>Export</strong> drop-down menu. <ul> <li>Non-image items in the folder won't be included in the ZIP file.</li> <li>Items inside subfolders within the exported folder won't be included in the ZIP file.
