It's always been a hot button topic: the study not only says they<br/>should get paid, it gives an actual dollar amount. The study<br/>claims <strong>the average football player is worth more than<br/>$120,000</strong> to their big-time college, <strong>basketball players have a market value of over $265,000</strong>. Despite the fact that these athletes generate millions of dollars in revenue for their schools, <strong>many are living below the federal poverty line</strong> and that forces athletes to get paid under-the-table. The study was done by a group representing college athletes. It also calls for scholarships to include the extra costs of attending school and for athletes to be able to make money through endorsements. The <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20130920025248/http://www.ncaa.org/">NCAA</a> told the Associated Press it hasn't looked at this report, but it was already looking at some possible
