Different lifestyles of different communities living in different geographies and cultural differentiation have caused variation in interior design. Throughout the history, culture, by means of its elements, creates different lifestyles in the same period of time, and influences the formation of interiors. The aim of this study is to explore cultural values that play an important role in the process of interior designing, to shape our daily lives and, thus, to assess how they influence interior designs. The study mainly focuses on cultural differences in Asian and European societies, which makes us. understand the similarities and differences of interior design principles. The information obtained by the historical analysis was synthesised, classified and finally interpreted. In conclusion, both in western and far eastern cultures, many elements such as climate, human values, religion, thinking, trade, class distinction, type of management, personal interests, social events, industrial and technological developments were found to have influence on the lifestyle with regard to interior The quality of the interior space referred to the three points, the Rules, Elements, and Factors. However, the designers face difficulties in designing an interior space within the Islamic style. The studies in the Islamic interior design show the elements and component of the style, but few of these studies analyze in depth the quality of this style, especially, heritage houses. The research question of the current study is "What are the original components, rules, and factors that reflect the quality of the interior design of the Islamic style". The aim of the study is to identify these components, rules, and factors as a guideline. The study used a mixed methodology; the qualitative mode used the in-depth interview with experts selected by purposeful sampling technique. While the quantitative mode used a checklist to observe the visual analysis of the interior space of the selected buildings. The selected building was chosen under special criteria depending on the heritage value and availability of information. The results showed that the quality of interior design reflected by the level of the details of the interior elements. However, 72% of samples reflected the originality of the design. This study focuses on the elements of heritage, their impact on people and the way these elements inspire interior architecture, form and psychology. This study aims to discern the elements of heritage and identify the character and special criteria of each civilization such as the Ancient Egyptian, Islamic and Nubian folk art heritage with special references and clarifications as to the criteria of reviving the traditional identity in contemporary interior design.
