In addition, a correlation between the photopotential and the photocatalytic kinetics of methylene blue for anatase-TiO2, CeO2, and WO3 as photocatalysts is shown. Fermi level pinning (FLP) is observed in the bandgap of CeO2, which limits the photoactivity of the compound, due to the high defectivity of CeO2.
