million people live in high and critically water stressed countries and a growing number are threatened by displacement due to water shortage. But, if wisely used, the planet has sufficient water for all. Aarhus Vand contribute with knowledge on reduction of non-revenue water, wastewater management, stormwater management, waste to energy and protection of water resources. <br /><br />The ultimate goal is to give equal access to water, improve the environment and health for the people of Ghana, South Africa and India. We have established positive relations and productive cooperation with local authorities at municipal and regional level. The cooperation aims to ensure better handling of wastewater and reduction of water losses for the benefit of health and the environment. <br /><br />Leakage detection using Aarhus Vand methods has reduced water losses by 8 %. Water operators use Aarhus Vand methods to detect and repair leaks. Water loss is the explanation for the large water consumption. Since 2017 we have contributed with knowledge about how they gain a better overview of their infrastructure and thus a better knowledge of where water losses occur in the pipeline network. <br /><br />Workshops on wastewater management have also been part of the project. We have shared knowledge with the city of Udaipur.
