/></h2> <div class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;display:block;"><font size="3">Contemporary Practices in American Cultural Studies will serve as a foundation for students to form an area of emphasis within the field. This course will look at major theoretical frameworks and key definitions in the practice of cultural studies. Students will be introduced to paradigmatic concepts in areas such as post-colonial theory, social/activist movements, indigenous studies, digital media studies and theories of globalization. We will examine texts from across disciplines that leverage critical theory in their engagement with key sites, debates and diverse perspectives in cultural studies.
