Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.</td><td width="20%" class="even" valign="top"><a href="/john/8-6.htm">6</a>They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground.</td><td width="20%" class="even" valign="top"><a href="/john/8-6.htm">6</a>This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.</td><td width="20%" class="even" valign="top"><a href="/john/8-6.htm">6</a>They asked this to trap Him, in order that they might have evidence to accuse Him.
