Initiative, the RISE Well-being & Community Engagement CCR Opportunity (RISE-CCR) enables all UC San Diego students to earn credit on their Co-Curricular Record for being active participants in programming that aims to promote students’ well-being and build a community of care on our campus. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can get involved in RISE-CCR activities by Record (CCR)</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> highlights student achievements in opportunities beyond the classroom, including a brief description and the skills developed, on an official record. These are activities officially validated by the University, meaning that your experience in this opportunity will be displayed alongside your academic achievements and have more credibility than un-validated extracurricular activities!</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Through involvement in the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tritons RISE Well-being & Community Engagement</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> CCR Opportunity, students will work on developing these important competencies:</span></p> <ul> <li aria-level="1" style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Self-Reflection</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Assesses, articulates and acknowledges personal skills and abilities, and learns from past experiences and feedback to gain new insights and understandings. </span></li> <li aria-level="1" style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Teamwork & Cross-Cultural Collaboration</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: Works with and seeks involvement from people and entities with diverse experiences towards a common goal, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, respect, and dignity for others.</span></li> <li aria-level="1" style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Civic Engagement/Social Responsibility</strong><strong>: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Participates in service/volunteer activities characterized by reciprocity, engages in critical reflection, and appropriately challenges unfair and unjust behavior to make a positive difference in the community.</span></li> <li aria-level="1" style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Leadership</strong><strong>: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Takes initiative, demonstrates effective decision making and informed risk taking, and motivates and encourages participation from others to work towards a shared purpose and vision.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><a class="btn styled-blue" href="https://career.ucsd.edu/plan/roadmap/competencies/index.html">UC SAN DIEGO COMPETENCIES</a></span></p> </div> <h2> <a href="#">How can I earn CCR credit? </a> </h2> <div> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To receive validation for your participation in the RISE-CCR Certificate and have it show on your official CCR transcript, you must </span><strong>complete all 3 of the following steps</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to earn the required 30 credits needed for your RISE-CCR certificate eligibility:</span></p> <p><strong>Step #1:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Attend 12 RISE-CCR eligible activities over the course of the academic year AND track your attendance to each using the </span><a href="https://ucsd.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b30KUK0YF8lgkRw"><span style="font-weight: 400;">RISE-CCR Attendance Log linked here</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for each activity you attend (12 RISE-CCR activities attended counts towards 24 of the total 30 credits needed for CCR eligibility)</span></p> <p><strong>Step #2: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Complete the quarterly RISE-CCR Reflection Surveys which will be sent via email to all students who have completed their attendance logs (completion of survey counts towards the additional 6 credits needed)</span></p> <p><strong>Step #3:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Log your enrollment and completion of the RISE-CCR in the </span><a href="https://myccr.ucsd.edu/home.htm"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CCR portal</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> for your official certificate to be approved, validated, and posted to your CCR transcript. </span></p> <hr/> <p><strong>Important additional notes about each of the steps above:</strong></p> <ul> <li aria-level="1" style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You choose how to mix and match RISE-CCR activities to attend!
