<p>　　美国东部时间8月5日12时25分(北京时间8月6日0时25分)，一枚“阿特拉斯5”型火箭在佛罗里达州卡纳维拉尔角肯尼迪航天中心点火升空，搭载着4吨重的“朱诺”号木星探测器奔向茫茫太空。</p> <p>　　按照计划，“朱诺”号探测器经过将近5年、长达32亿公里的漫漫征途后，将于2016年7月抵达太阳系最大行星——木星轨道。此后，“朱诺”号在木星辐射带中运行一年，围绕木星极地飞行33圈，了解木星否存在水和固体内核，并研究其内部构造、大气、极光和磁场等。“朱诺”号上装有9台仪器，包括1台可向地球传回彩色图像的广角摄像机。</p> <p>　　美国航天局表示，发射“朱诺”号的目的是进一步了解木星起源和演化情况。木星是一个巨大的气体行星，主要成分为氢和氦，与太阳的平均距离7.7亿公里。由于科学家普遍认为木星是太阳系中首个形成的行星，对木星的探测有可能使人类了解早期太阳系的秘密。在“朱诺”号之前，美国曾在1989年发射过“伽利略”号木星探测器。在获得了大量探测数据后，“伽利略”号已于2003年9月按程序坠毁在木星上，“朱诺”号完成使命后也将面临相同命运。</p>
