height: 766px;" /></div> <br /> Hydrogen Europe has inked agreements with Indian and Chilean trade bodies as it looks to strengthen cross-border collaboration and trade. <p>The association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian-based Green Hydrogen Association (GH2) with hopes of strengthening knowledge exchange to promote the hydrogen sector in both Europe and India.</p> <p>India has been emerging as a key potential supplier of both hydrogen itself and critical technologies such as electrolysers for Europe.</p> <p>However, given the bloc’s recent restrictions on lower-cost Chinese electrolysers, it remains to be seen how the EU will look to manage a potential influx of Indian-produced equipment.</p> <p>Nishaanth Balashanmugam, Director of GH2 India, said the MoU marked a “powerful step forward” for both regions.</p> <p>“Europe has emerged as a key partner to India’s clean energy ambitions, and I hope this collaboration is a step forward in aligning trade and our shared objectives.”</p> <p>A second MoU was also signed with H2Chile, committing the bodies to work on hydrogen sector deployment and developing trade between the two regions.</p> <p>Expected to facilitate “industry-to-industry and public-private” exchanges between the EU and Chile, it builds on the work of European policymakers to secure future hydrogen demand from the South American nation.</p> <p>Last year the European Commission launched a €225m fund for renewable hydrogen in Chile to tackle domestic liquidity issues and capitalise on its export potential.</p> <p>The MoU will focus on cooperation across regulations, trade and financing, and best practices on R&I, skills and value reaction.</p> <p>Gloria Navarrete, Chilean Ambassador to Belgium, said the MoU, “shows the spirit that sustains the bilateral relationship: collaboration, exchange of good practices, and working together in the hydrogen sector.”</p> <p>Commenting on the Chilean MoU, Hydrogen Europe CEO, Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, added, “I am convinced that this cooperation will help address the challenges the sector, thus strengthening our economic ties and promoting clean hydrogen trade globally.”</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="fl show-keywords_small"> <h2 class="t title-ff fwb fz18 black tr show-keywords-title p20 fl"> Keywords </h2> <div class="fr fz18 keywords"> <i class="iconfont icon-icon-down"></i> <a href="https://www.world-energy.org/search.html?keyword=hydrogen">Hydrogen</a> </div> <div class="fr fz18 keywords"> <div class="fixedad ad mt10 mb30" style="width: 630px;
