Give us an inheritance among the brothers of our father.” <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And Moshe brought their case before LORD JEHOVAH.<p> <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH said to Moshe: <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>“The daughters of Tsalphkhad have spoken rightly; give to them a territory and an inheritance among the brothers of their fathers and establish to them the inheritance of their father. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And say to the children of Israel: ‘When a man will die and he has no son, give his inheritance to his daughter. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And if he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers. <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And if he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father's brothers. <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And if he has no father's brother, give his inheritance to one who is near to him from his family, and he shall inherit it; and it shall be for the children of Israel the law of justice, according to what LORD JEHOVAH commanded Moshe.’”<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH said to Moshe: “Go up to this mountain of the Hebrews and see the land of Canaan that I give to the children of Israel. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And see it and be gathered also to your people as Ahron your brother was gathered. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>Because you provoked the Word of my mouth in the wilderness of Tsin in the strife of the assembly, and you did not sanctify me at the water in their sight; those are the waters of strife of Raqem in the wilderness of Tsin.”<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And Moshe spoke before LORD JEHOVAH and said: <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>“Let LORD JEHOVAH, the God of the spirits of all flesh, order a man over the assembly. <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>To go out before them and to enter before them and bring them out and to bring them in, that the assembly of LORD JEHOVAH will not be as sheep that have no Shepherd.”<p> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH said to Moshe: “Take to yourself Yeshua, son of Nun, a man who has the Spirit in him and put your hand upon him. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>And stand him before Eliazer the Priest and before all of the assembly and command him in their sight. <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And put some of your glory upon him that all of the assembly of the children of Israel shall obey him. <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/numbers/27-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>And he shall stand before Eliazer the Priest and he shall be inquiring the law of petition for him before LORD JEHOVAH;
