COLORS」。6カ月連続でリリースしていく本企画の第一弾、パフォーマーの中務裕太プロデュースによる「True or Doubt」が、2月3日に配信リリースされた。今回、作詞作曲を手掛けたのは、かねてより中務と交流があるというDa-iCEの花村想太。デジタルコミュニケーションが当たり前となった現代を舞台に、もどかしい恋愛観を描いたラブソングとなっている。</p> <p>　パフォーマーである彼は、どのように楽曲をプロデュースしていったのか。楽曲制作の話はもちろんのこと、アーティスト仲間から受けている刺激や、近年の活動で実感していることなど、“中務裕太”の今に迫った。（斉藤碧）</p> <h2 class="line">みんなの予想を裏切るのがGENERATIONSらしさ</h2> <p>――まず、「PRODUCE 6IX COLORS」というプロジェクトを立ち上げた経緯から教えてください。</p> <p>中務裕太（以下、中務）：もともとGENERATIONSは個性強めなメンバーが揃っているグループなので、各自がプロデュースした曲を出したいっていう話は、以前から出ていたんですよね。その中で昨年、新体制で再始動することになったので、タイミングがいいんじゃないかということで、今回「PRODUCE 6IX COLORS」をやることになりました。</p> <p>――企画の第一弾を中務さんが担うのは、どういう狙いが？</p> <p>中務：こういう企画って、リーダーの（白濱）亜嵐くんとか、ボーカルの2人から始まるのが自然だと思うんですよ。亜嵐くんは、ソロアーティストやPKCZ®の一員として作詞作曲する機会が多いですし、（数原）龍友くんと（片寄）涼太くんも、最近はソロ活動に力を入れていたりするので。でも、その予想を裏切って、あえて僕が一番にいくっていうのがGENERATIONSらしいなと。メンバー内で話し合って、この順番でいくことにしました。</p> YUTA NAKATSUKA</span></div> <p>――中務さんのプロデュース曲「True or Doubt」（作詞：花村想太／作曲：花村想太・MEG.ME・Louis）は、Da-iCEの花村想太さんが作詞作曲を手掛けているラブソングです。初めから想太さんを指名してオファーしたんですか？</p> <p>中務：はい。想太くんとは以前から交流がありましたし、想太くんが作る曲も好きで、いつかGENERATIONSにも書いてほしいなと思っていたんです。なので、自分から直接メッセージを送らせてもらって。「こういう企画があるんですけど……」って相談したら、想太くんも「僕でいいんですか！？」って喜んでくださって、そこから一気に話が進んでいきました。想太くんとは、プライベートでご飯に行くような関係ではないんですけど、音楽番組で会ったら話したりしますし、2人とも関西人だからすごく気が合うんですよ。しかも、年齢的には想太くんのほうが年上なんですが、デビュー時期はほぼ一緒なので、同志っていう感覚が強くて。出会った頃からお互い通じ合うものがありました。</p> <p>――作曲をお願いするにあたり、中務さんからはどんなリクエストをしたのでしょうか。</p> <p>中務：恋愛ソングがいいっていうのは、最初の打ち合わせで伝えました。今までのGENERATIONSの曲は、極端にハッピーか、極端に切ないかの2択でいくことが多かったので、その間にあるもどかしさを表現できる楽曲が欲しかったんです。その上で、現代っぽい世界観で描けたら面白いんじゃないか、というのも伝えましたね。そしたら、想太くんが「メッセージアプリのクリック音とか、送信音を入れるのはどうですか？」と提案してくれて。僕も「その案いいですね！」と盛り上がった結果、そういった音遣いがポイントのトラックが完成しました。サウンド面に関しては、何度か意見を交換したんですけど、歌詞に関しては想太くんのセンスを信頼してるので、大まかなテーマだけ投げて「あとは任せます！」って感じでしたね。完成した歌詞を読んだ時も理想通りの歌詞で、さすが想太くんだなって思いました。</p> <p>中務：この歌詞には、本当は好きな相手に「今から逢えない？」とか「今何してる？」って送りたいけど、本音を伝えられなくて文字を消す……っていう姿が描かれているんですけど。僕も仕事のメールとかは、送るまでに何度も読み返すタイプですね。で、「この文章いらないな」って消したり、「よし！」って思い切って送ってみたりするので、この心境は理解できるなって思いました。</p> <p>――〈素顔がわからず It’s wonder〉という歌詞を見た時、GENETSTIONSの楽曲「ワンダーラスト」と、Da-iCEの楽曲「I wonder」が浮かびました。作曲チームも「I wonder」と同じだし……もしや、バズるための作戦ですか（笑）？</p> <p>中務：あははは。想太くん曰く、あえて狙ったわけじゃなくて、たまたまみたいです（笑）。でも、もともと持ってる感覚が似てるから、自然と被ったんでしょうね。似た者同士が集まると、こういうことが結構あるんで。僕も歌詞を見て面白いなと思いましたし、良い化学反応が生まれたなと感じています。</p> <p>――ボーカルレコーディングは、片寄さんと数原さんにお任せで？</p> <p>中務：はい、歌のことは僕よりも2人のほうが圧倒的に詳しいので。龍友くんのレコーディングは一応立ち会ったんですけど、2人には「自分が一番気持ちいいやり方でやってください」とだけ伝えてあって。「こういうふうに歌ってほしい」というのは、僕からは特に言わなかったです。この曲、デモの時は想太くん自ら仮歌を入れてくれていて、想太くんバージョンも完成度が高かったんですよ。でも、ボーカル2人の歌が入ったことでGENERATIONSの曲になった印象があって。「True or Doubt」を聴いて、2人の歌声の魅力やバランスの良さを改めて実感しました。</p> <p>――イントロなしで、涼太さんが歌う〈逢いたいだなんて〉から始まるのも、ドラマティックで素敵ですね。これはどなたの案ですか？</p> <p>中務：僕です。今まではイントロ始まりが多かったので、歌始まりの曲を作りたいなと、ずっと思ってて。それも想太くんにあらかじめ伝えました。あと僕、涼太くんの囁くような歌声が好きで。あえて「こういう声で歌って」とは言わなかったですけど、涼太くんの囁きで曲が始まったらいいなという気持ちも内心あったんです。そしたら、イメージ通りの歌が上がってきたので、「これこれ！」って思いました。</p> <p>――パフォーマンスの構想についても教えてください。</p> <p>中務：実はこの曲、楽曲を受け取ったばかりの頃はパフォーマンスのイメージが全然浮かばなかったんですよね。ただ、振付の方向性はジェンダーレスにしたいと思っていました。だって、本当は強気にいきたいけど、本音を言えなくて……っていう切ない気持ちを歌った曲だから。GENERATIONSにはダイナミックでパワフルな振付の曲も多いですけど、今回は中性的というか、繊細で綺麗なシルエットを意識することで、歌詞がスッと入ってくるパフォーマンスにしたいなと。そのイメージをMacotoくん（RHT.）に伝えて、コレオを作ってもらいました。</p> <p>――ボーカルを交えて踊るパートもありますね。</p> <p>中務：6人体制でスタートを切るにあたって、ボーカルも一緒に踊る部分が欲しかったので、それも僕のほうからリクエストしました。久々にボーカルと一緒に踊ったら、新鮮さもありつつ、やっぱり楽しくて、この雰囲気いいなぁ～って思いましたね。ただ、歌いながら踊る大変さも理解しているので。他の楽曲もそうなんですけど、一旦僕なりに「ここはボーカルは踊らないほうがいいんじゃないか」って考えて、必要な部分を6人で振り入れして。最終的にはボーカル自ら、歌に影響が出ないように振りを引き算していくっていうやり方でした。</p> <h2 class="line">GENERATIONSだから呼べた年末ライブの豪華ゲストたち</h2> <p><div class="fixed-ratio aligncenter"><picture><source srcset="/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/20250225-nakatsuka-02-702x468.jpg.webp" <p>――昨年末に有明アリーナで開催された2daysライブ『GENERATIONS LIVE TOUR 2024 "GENERATIONS 2.0" BONUS STAGE COUNTDOWN PARTY』でも「True or Doubt」を披露されましたが、その手応えはいかがですか？</p> <p>中務：ライブ後にSNSを見たら、みんな「耳馴染みのある音が入ってて面白い」って言ってくれていたので、良かったなって思いました。</p> <p>――メッセージアプリのクリック音が「耳馴染みある音」ということは、Z世代の方にも届いているってことでしょうか。</p> <p>中務：そうだと思います。ここ数年、GENERATIONSのファン層ってどんどん広がってるんですよね。デビュー当初は、僕らと同世代のLDHファンの方がたくさん応援してくれていたんですけど、フェスに出演したり、TikTokに力を入れるようになってから、いろんな層の方が応援してくれているのを感じます。もちろん、長年応援してくれている方のことは大事ですよ。でも、グループを続けるためにはもっと売れる必要があるし、今はZ世代の人に響く曲を作ることが、GENERATIONSをバズらせるキッカケになるだろうと、僕らは信じていて。「True or Doubt」のクリック音や送信音も、そういう意図で入れていたので、Z世代の人達に共感してもらえて嬉しかったです。</p> <p>――有明アリーナ2daysを振り返ってみて、他に印象的だったことはなんですか？</p> <p>中務：あの2日間は、お客さんにとって予想外の連発だったと思いますし、僕らにとっても「こんなにすごい方々集まってくれるんだ！？」っていう驚きがありましたね。『千鳥のクセスゴ！』（フジテレビ系）でお馴染みの芸人さん達も来てくださったし、マツケンさん（松平健）や倖田來未さん、m-floさんが3人揃って登場してくださったり、結構すごいことが起きていて。自分達主催のライブで、そんな夢のようなことを実現できたってことが、すごく自信になりました。それこそマツケンさんは、LDHのアーティストの中では、多分僕らにしか呼べない方だろうなと思いました（笑）。</p> <p>――GENERATIONSは、ずば抜けた発想力と、LDHのパブリックイメージを覆してでも実現する突破力が武器だと思うんですが、その強みが最大限活きたライブでしたよね。</p> <p>中務：ありがとうございます。突破するというか、むしろ全力で逆走している気もしましたけど……（笑）。逆走して、周りから「何やってるの！？」ってツッコミを入れられるくらいが、GENERATIONSらしいのかなと思ってますね。</p> <p>――それにしても、初っ端からレジェンド級の方を呼んじゃって、次どうするんですか？</p> <p>中務：そうなんですよ。もう最上級が来ちゃったので、もっとレジェンドの方々になんとか来ていただくしかないかな？……なんて（笑）。そんな課題もありつつ、メンバーそれぞれが個人活動で培ってきた人脈とか、音楽やダンスを通じて繋がった縁とか、バラエティ力にも自信がある僕らだからこそできることがたくさんあるなと、『COUNTDOWN PARTY』を開催して改めて思いました。</p> </div>
