hear him."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And when the disciples heard, they fell on their faces, and they were very afraid.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua came to them and he touched them and said, "Arise, do not be afraid."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they lifted their eyes and did not see anyone except Yeshua by himself.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And as they descended from the mountain, Yeshua ordered them and he said to them, "Do not tell this vision in the presence of any man until The Son of Man will rise from the dead."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And his disciples asked him and they were saying to him, "Why do the Scribes therefore say that Elijah must come first?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua answered and he said to them, "Elijah does come first so that everything may end."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But I say to you, behold, Elijah has come, and they did not know him, and they have done unto him everything whatsoever they wished; likewise also The Son of Man is going to suffer from them.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them about Yohannan The Baptizer.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And when they came to the multitude, a man came unto him and knelt on his knees.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to him, "My lord, have mercy on me, my son has a lunatic* demon and has become ill, for he has fallen many times into fire and many times into water."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And I brought him to your disciples and they were not able to heal him."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua answered and he said, "Oh, faithless and twisted generation! How long shall I be with you, and how long shall I endure you? Bring him here to me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua rebuked it and the demon went out from him and The Boy was healed from that moment.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Then the disciples came to Yeshua himself alone and they said to him, "Why were we not able to heal him?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua* said to them, "Because of your unbelief, for amen, I say to you, that if you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you may say to this mountain, 'Move from here', and it will move, and nothing will be difficult for you".</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But this kind does not go out except by fasting and by prayer."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">When they were traveling in Galilee, Yeshua said to them, "The Son of Man will be betrayed to the hands of men.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they will murder him, and the third day he will arise," and it grieved them greatly.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And when they came to Kapernahum, those who take the two each, quarter-shekels head tax came to Kaypha and said to him: "Does not your Rabbi pay the two quarter-shekels?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to them, "Yes." And when Kaypha entered the house, Yeshua anticipated him and he said to him, "How does it seem to you Shimeon? From whom do the Kings of the earth take taxes and head money? From their children or from strangers?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Shimeon said to him, "From strangers." Then Yeshua said to him, "Then the children are free."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/matthew/17-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But lest we give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a fish hook, and the first fish that comes up, open its mouth and you will find a shekel.
