but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>and taking him by the right hand, he lift him up; and immediately his feet and ancle-bones received strength. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>so that he fell a leaping, and walking, and entred with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>all the people saw him walking and praising God. <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and knowing it was he who us'd to sit begging at the Beauty-gate of the temple, they were filled with wonder and amazement at such an event.<p> <A name="12"></a><p class="hdg">Peter Speaks in Solomon’s Colonnade<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>As the lame man who was cured, held Peter and John, the people all in surprize ran to Solomon's porch, where they were. <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>which Peter observing, thus addressed them, ye men of Israel, why are ye so surprized at this event? or why do you look so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or piety, we had caus'd this man to walk? <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and renounced in opposition to Pilate, who was determined to let him go. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>but ye renounced him that was holy and just; you interceeded for the life of a murderer, <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>but killed the prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>it is the faith which we have in him, that has procured strength to this man whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>and now, brethren, I know it was through ignorance, that both you and your rulers, have acted thus. <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>but thus it is that God has accomplished what he had foretold by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, who shall send Jesus Christ, <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>who has been beforehand prepar'd thereto, <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>but must reside in heaven, till the time of the restitution of all things, of which God has spoken from the beginning by the mouth of his holy prophets. <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>for Moses said to the fathers, "a prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, of your brethren, like unto me;
